Itinerary
- Day 1
Lima
You'll touch down in Lima where a private transfer is waiting to take you straight to your hotel. After you get settled in, the rest of the day is yours to adjust to the time zone and rest up before things get going.
- Day 2
Cusco
You arrive in Cusco and head to your hotel to drop off your bags. In the afternoon, start at Plaza de San Cristóbal where you'll get panoramic views of the city. From there, check out San Pedro Market to try local food and see what locals are selling. Then walk through the Qorikancha Temple to see its golden walls, wander into San Blas with its artisan shops, find the famous Twelve Angled Stone, and finish at the Cathedral in Plaza de Armas.

- Day 3
Cusco
Early on, you'll head to Sacsayhuaman to see its massive stone constructions and the landscape around it. After that, stop at Q'enqo with its carved altar, then move to the Puca Pucará lookout and Tambomachay. You'll have the afternoon free to walk around Cusco on your own, and your admission passport gets you into additional sites if you want to check them out.

- Day 4
Sacred Valley
You're heading to the Sacred Valley today. First, you'll explore Pisac with its archaeological site and see the views from up there. Walk through the colonial village and look at artisan workshops, then visit the Inkariy Museum to learn about pre-Hispanic cultures. Later, head to the Yucay Live Culture Center where you can watch traditional weaving, textile dyeing, and adobe making, plus meet llamas and alpacas. You'll spend the night in the Sacred Valley area.

- Day 5
Ollantaytambo
Continue exploring the Sacred Valley by starting with the Inca Terraces of Moray, an old agricultural lab. Next, visit the white salt mines at Maras that are still being used today, which make for great photos. Then walk around Ollantaytambo to see the streets and terraces of this living Inca village and tour its archaeological site to see how they built the Sun temple. Later, you'll board a train from Ollantaytambo station heading to Machu Picchu town and stay there overnight.

- Day 6
Machu Picchu
This is the day you've been looking forward to. You'll take the train from Ollantaytambo, then ride a winding bus up to Machu Picchu. Once there, you'll walk through the terraces, staircases, ceremonial sites, and urban areas filled with history. After lunch, you'll head back by train to Cusco.

Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)
Very early in the morning, a van takes you to the village of Cusipata for breakfast. From there, you begin hiking along a community dirt road climbing to 4,800 meters. You'll hike about 4 km while your guide teaches you how to walk properly at altitude and points out the snowcapped Ausangate mountains. At the 5,000 meter observation point, you'll see Rainbow Mountain with its striking striped geological formations. You'll have time for photos, then head back down the same path.
