  My overall experience in relation to spoken English language throughout the cruise by the ships personnel/entertainment staff and the guided tours was a complete disappointment as The English language was largely non existant and on the few ocassions when English translation was made it was at best very poor in fact almost a non event. The advertising of the cruise regarding spoken English was both misleading and false. My booking was made based on TourRadars web site information where it was advertised that the cruise was in "English and other languages on request i.e.,German". In addition, the web site advised that the cruise was "guided in English with experienced guides to be with you the entire tour". On the basis of the advertised tours I booked tours for each port of call only to be advised on embarkation that there was no tours in English as there were insufficient English speaking guests. This situation completely defeated my purpose of booking the cruise. I was left with the option of staying on the ship, self guiding in foreign ports or for 50% reduction in each tour charge accompanying the German tour group and German speaking guide. This was an isolating experience experience with complete lack of inclusion. Whilst the food standard was excellent in quality and variety, the seating arrangements in the dinning room left much to be desired. It was advised that seat reservations be made (at a charge per day) in order to secure a seat at the table or alternatively be left at each meal time to find a seating placement if available. As I booked and paid for the premium all inclusive category, my expectation was that I would not then be required to pay additional fees to secure a dinning placement or alternatively to be left to scramble around to find a seat at every meal time. Having travelled with several other cruise companies over a number of years I have been in the position to make comaparisons and can only conclude that this cruise with ARosa Aqua not only provided false/misleading advertising information but has been a distressing and most dissatisfying experience for me. I would request that my review be responded to in a satisfactory manner without the need to elevate the matter to the Australian Competition Consumer Commission for an outcome.Show more

  Service on board was excellent! Waiters and room service were great. But entertainment wise was rather poor. Cruise was was advertised as German and English mostly German was used. Out of 38 minutes in German, English was use for 3 minutes?? WE had to ask for some translation.. The Cruise administration and presentation on adverting are very misleading. Premium All-Inclusive is just a misleading name and I think it is not the right name for a package!!! Even to have a reserved seats for meals we were asked for daily fee!Show more

  When booking such a river cruise and the details say that the language on board will be in German and English, it should be so! It was really frustrating for English speakers on board, having to keep asking because announcements were delivered ONLY in German most of the time. Also, dining seating should be 'free' included in the price NOT at a charge per person per day if you prefer to sit together with family or friends.Show more
