- Day 1
Sydney to Canberra
Your adventure kicks off in the Southern Highlands, about 1.5 hours from Sydney, where you'll find rolling vineyards and quiet villages. Head to Gold Creek Station farm to meet Craig Starr and his family during a Be My Guest BBQ lunch. From there, drive to Canberra and check out Parliament House, including a behind-the-scenes look at how things work politically. Tonight you'll join your Travel Director for a welcome dinner to get to know the group.

- Day 2
Canberra to Wangaratta
Start early at Mt. Ainslie to see panoramic views of Canberra's planned layout spread below you. Travel through Victoria's High Country and cross the Murray River, then arrive in Beechworth, a historic gold rush town. Meet the local pub publican and have afternoon tea at the oldest hotel in town. Spend time wandering the shops, galleries, and museums before heading on to Wangaratta.

Glenrowan to Melbourne
Head south through Ned Kelly country to Glenrowan, where the infamous bushranger and his gang were captured back in 1880. Check out museums and statues throughout town to learn about the legendary tales. Continue driving to Melbourne for a city tour and a guided gallery experience at the Koorie Heritage Trust (a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experience). The afternoon is yours to wander Melbourne's laneways and find hidden spots around the city.

- Day 4
Melbourne
This is your day to explore Melbourne however you like. Your Travel Director can help set up optional activities if you want them. Try Melbourne's coffee culture in the atmospheric laneways, or head up to the Eureka Tower's Melbourne Skydeck, which sits almost 300 metres above the ground with views across the whole city. There's also a History and Donuts Walking Tour if that appeals to you, or if you prefer animals, take a trip to Phillip Island to see the little penguins.

Great Ocean Road
Today you're driving one of the world's most dramatic journeys along the 240-kilometre Great Ocean Road. You'll pass through a World Heritage listed rainforest and untouched coastal coves, stopping in sleepy towns like Lorne and Apollo Bay along the way. See the Twelve Apostles limestone stacks, Loch Ard Gorge where a famous shipwreck happened, and the impressive London Bridge rock formations.

Tower Hill to Naracoorte
Drive through Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve, located inside a dormant volcanic crater, to spot emus and koalas. Cross into South Australia and head to Mt. Gambier to see the striking Blue Lake, which fills a volcanic crater. Stop in the Coonawarra wine region for wine tasting, then explore the Alexandra Cave in Naracoorte and see its impressive stalactites and massive twisting columns.

Fleurieu Peninsula to Kangaroo Island
Explore the Fleurieu Peninsula with its rolling hills, rugged clifftops, and sandy beaches. Visit the seaside town of Victor Harbor and take a horse-drawn tram ride to Granite Island (own expense). After that, board your ferry to Kangaroo Island and arrive in Kingscote to settle in. You'll start meeting native wildlife including sea lions, koalas, and various bird species around the island.

Visit Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary to help with bushfire recovery and wildlife rehabilitation (a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experience) and learn about native Australian animals from experienced guides. Check out Seal Bay Conservation Park to watch one of the country's most significant sea lion breeding colonies head down to the water. Finish with craft beer tasting at the island's only boutique brewery.
