Can you also share the hotels for each of the cities?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

You can find the full itinerary, along with details of what's included and excluded, on our website. All travel is via private coach, not by Euro train. We do not book flights, so these would need to be arranged independently. Hotels will be a mix of 3–4 star hotels, with final details released closer to departure.

    Andrew

    Asked on June 23rd, 2025

What city, town or village will we be spending Christmas Day in the Swiss Alps? Is anything going to be open?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten June 2025

The Tour will stay in Lenk on the Swiss Alps Leg of the tour. Though Hotels are booked closer to the departure, if the contracted Hotel in Lenk cannot be booked, the most likely alternate is a Hotel in Wilderswil. The group will shop on Christmas Eve and on the Free Day on Christmas Day, 2 Optionals are offered which will cover the entire day but if customers choose to Explore on their own, they may visit the town and find that a lot of shops are open on Christmas Day.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten September 2024

We believe the best way to get to the heart and soul of a city is on foot, surrounded by the people and the culture. For this reason, we do walking tours through most of the cities we visit. Many of the cities you visit are vast and old, often with steps and cobblestones. Our walking tours can last up to 3 hours with plenty of opportunities to take photographs and soak up the history of these fascinating places, but you do require a certain level of fitness to enjoy your tour to its fullest. If I were to assess, it might be too challenging for you to join our tours unfortunately.

    Asked on July 28th, 2024

I would like to know the name of the hotel

    Accommodation
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2024

At this stage, your departure is too far in advance for us to give you a confirmed starting hotel. Due to the fact that our hotels are subject to change, we do not provide inaccurate information beforehand to minimize any confusion. We suggest reaching out roughly 90 days prior on your confirmed booking page for this information.
