Itinerary
- Day 1
Merano
You'll arrive in Merano at your own pace and pick up your rental bikes along with some route information. After getting oriented, spend the rest of the day walking around town to get a feel for the place. It's a nice opportunity to settle in and explore the local streets at a relaxed pace before heading out on the bike.

Landmarks Merano - Day 2
Malles - Glorenza - Silandro - Merano
Take the Venosta Valley Railway from Merano to Malles, and your bike travels with you. From there, you'll cycle through the medieval town of Glorenza, ride past old mining ruins, and continue on to Silandro before heading back down toward Merano. You'll pass Juval Castle along the way and see the Ortler massif and Stelvio Pass. The route is pretty flexible, so you can cut it short if needed. Expect a longer day in the saddle, but the scenery makes it worth it.

Lana - South Tyrolean Wine Route - Bolzano
Start cycling through Lana and past the Schnatterpeck altar, then ride through orchards and vineyards following the South Tyrolean Wine Route. You'll pass fortified castles, palaces, and ruins as you make your way toward Bolzano. Along this stretch you can see Sigmundskron Castle and stop at the Messner Mountain Museum if you're interested. Once in Bolzano, take time to walk through the arcades and, if you want, check out the Ötzi museum. The pedaling is moderate with nice cultural stops throughout.

- Day 4
Lake Kaltern - Auer
You've got two route choices to Lake Kaltern today. One path is slightly hilly and goes via Eppan using the new cycle path, while the other is flatter and follows the Etsch dam through the wine village of Auer. Either way, you'll end up in the lake area for the night. Pick whichever appeals more to your energy level and terrain preferences.

- Day 5
Salurner Klause - Trento
Cycle along the Adige dam heading from Ora toward the Salurner Klause, which marks where the German-speaking region of South Tyrol ends. After that, you'll ride into the Trentino wine region and continue on to Trento, the old episcopal city. Once there, explore the old town at your own pace, check out the cathedral, and if you're up for it, visit Buonconsiglio Castle. It's a day with cultural highlights mixed in with steady cycling.

- Day 6
Rovereto - Mori - Passo San Giovanni - Torbole or Riva
Today you're cycling from Trento heading toward Lake Garda. You'll pass through Rovereto, an old Tyrolean border town, and then stop in Mori where there's a famous gelateria, Gelateria Bologna, known for pistachio ice cream and fresh fruit juices. After that, tackle the small Passo San Giovanni climb of around 150 meters, then enjoy the descent to Lake Garda. You'll finish the day in either Torbole or Riva depending on your accommodation. This is a shorter day in terms of distance but with some nice elevation work.
