Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakesh to Agdez
You'll start early from your Marrakesh hotel and head across the High Atlas Mountains through the Tichka pass. The drive takes you to Telouet Kasbah, where you can walk through the ruins of this former stronghold that belonged to the powerful Glaoui family. After lunch, you'll reach Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and take a guided tour through its historic structures. By evening you'll arrive in Agdez where the Draa Valley begins, and you'll spend the night in a traditional kasbah.

- Day 2
Agdez to Erg Chagaga
Following breakfast, you'll check out the remaining kasbah before heading down the ancient caravan road that winds through oases and villages between the river and the mountains. The journey takes you to M'hamid at the desert's edge, where you'll have lunch and then mount camels for a two-hour ride across the sand. After that, you'll drive about 60km through varied desert terrain to reach Erg Chagaga with its massive 300m-high dunes. You'll spend the night in nomad tent bivouacs, enjoying Berber music and gathering around a fire under the stars.

- Day 3
Erg Chagaga to Marrakesh
After breakfast you'll drive another 90km through the desert, passing Lake Iriqui, mountain formations, and fossil sites along the way. In Foum Zguid, the first village after leaving the desert, you'll stop for lunch and can freshen up with a shower. From there, you'll head back to Marrakesh on paved roads, passing through Taznakht where local Berber carpets and rugs are made. You'll cross back through the High Atlas Mountains and arrive in Marrakesh by late afternoon.
