Itinerary
- Day 1
Luxor
A representative meets you at Luxor International Airport with a sign and brings you by private air-conditioned vehicle to your cruise ship. After checking in and boarding before lunch, you'll head to the Temple of Karnak and Temple of Luxor. At Karnak you can walk through the 134 columns in the Hypostyle Hall, see the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutmosis III, and check out the Sacred Lake. Later there's afternoon tea, then dinner back on the ship followed by a belly dance show.

- Day 2
West Bank to Esna
Breakfast happens on board before you head to the West Bank's Valley of the Kings to explore tombs from various dynasties. You'll see the Temple of Deir El Bahari and stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two giant sitting statues of Amenophis III, then continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Lunch is back on board, and after that the ship sails to Esna where there's afternoon tea and a disco party in the evening.

Edfu to Kom Ombo
After breakfast on board, you'll visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, which is the second largest temple after Karnak. It was built during the Ptolemaic period and dedicated to the falcon god Horus. From there the ship sails to Kom Ombo where you'll see the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris, an unusual dual-dedicated temple overlooking the Nile from around 180 BC. The day ends with afternoon tea and a Galabya party on the ship.

- Day 4
Kom Ombo to Aswan
You'll have breakfast on board and then sail to Aswan. During the day you'll visit the High Dam, an engineering project built between 1960 and 1970 to regulate the Nile and generate hydroelectricity. Stop to see the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk that would have measured around 42 meters if it had been completed. Later you'll visit the Temple of Philae on Isis Island, dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor, and explore the Granite Quarries. Dinner happens back on the ship.

Abu Simbel Day Trip
A representative picks you up from your Nile cruise for a day trip to Abu Simbel, about 3.5 hours drive from Aswan. You'll visit the Great Sun Temple of Ramses II, built to honor himself and featuring a mural of his famous victory at the Kadesh battle, and the Temple of Queen Nefertari, built by Ramses II for his favorite wife. Both temples were moved in 1960 by the Egyptian government and UNESCO to prevent them from being submerged by rising Nile waters. A private air-conditioned vehicle brings you back to Aswan.

Free Day in Aswan
This is a free day in Aswan where you can choose how to spend your time. Optional activities available at your own cost include visiting the Nubian Museum, taking a felucca sailboat ride on the Nile, exploring a Nubian Village, watching the Sound and Light Show at Philae Temple, or visiting Kitchener Island. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included on board the ship.

Esna to Luxor
You'll be picked up for a transfer to the Temple of Khnum in Esna, located about 200 meters from the boat landing at the end of the tourist souq. The temple sits in a 9-meter-deep pit that represents 15 centuries of accumulated sand and debris since the Roman period. Most of the temple, which is similar in size to the temples of Edfu and Dendara, remains covered by the old town of Esna. A quay connecting the temple to the Nile was built by Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius.

Luxor Departure
A representative picks you up from your Nile cruise in Luxor by air-conditioned vehicle for a final tour with an Egyptologist guide. You'll visit Medinet Habu, the Mortuary Temple of Ramses III, a huge complex second only to Karnak in size and better preserved than most. See the reliefs on the First Pylon showing Ramses defeating the Nubians and Syrians. Then you'll stop at the Ramesseum Temple, called the 'million year's temple' by ancient Egyptians, which covers fifty thousand square meters and has gigantic statues of Ramses II. After the tour you'll return to the airport, train station, or hotel.
