    Colón

    You'll arrive in Colón and board MS Fram, settling into your cabin while meeting the expedition team. Before the ship departs, you have options to check out jungle lodges or head to the UNESCO-listed Casco Viejo district in Panama City if you want to explore the colonial architecture and local culture on your own.

  2. Day 2

    San Blas Islands

    After sailing about 60 miles from Colón, you'll reach the San Blas Islands where the Guna people maintain their traditional way of life. You can watch local artisans make traditional molas (scarves), learn about their matriarchal communities, and swim in clear waters surrounded by palm groves while observing the coral and mangrove ecosystems up close.

    Capurganá, Colombia

    You'll arrive at Capurganá and Sapzurro on Colombia's Caribbean coast, reachable only by boat or small plane due to the lack of roads. The dense rainforest meets crystal-clear water here, so you can hike through jungle trails, spot wildlife, swim, snorkel, or kayak depending on conditions. Small boats will transport you to shore since there's no formal port.

    You'll head to Santa Marta, one of South America's oldest cities founded in 1525, where mountains and beaches surround the town. Explore colonial Spanish buildings, visit the Simón Bolívar statue, then check out the Tairona Gold Museum or venture into the scenic Tayrona National Natural Park and Sierra Nevada mountains if you have time.

    Guajira Peninsula, Colombia

    You'll sail to Puntas Gallinas on the Guajira Peninsula, the northernmost tip of South America and home to the Wayúu people. Few ships navigate these shallow, windswept waters, but you'll try to land at Cabo de la Vela for incredible ocean and desert views, potentially see the famous lighthouse at Punta Gallinas, though all activities depend on weather conditions.

If interested, you can join an optional nature walk or look for flamingos at the island's Ramsar wetland sites.

    You'll visit Mayreau, barely over one square mile and the Caribbean's smallest paradise, accessible only by boat with just one road winding across the island. The residents live on Station Hill, and you'll find some of the West Indies' most beautiful beaches here. Later, you can explore the nearby Tobago Cays, five small islands with coral reefs now protected as a marine park, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before April 8th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 8th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Hurtigruten. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 120 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
