- The picturesque Lech source: The river rises in the Lechquellen Mountains, which bear their name. Nearby is the Formarinsee, which is formed every year from the meltwater of the surrounding mountains. In 2015, the lake with the Rote Wand towering above it was voted the most beautiful place in Austria.
- The royal castles near Füssen: In the Allgäu, two castles belonging to the Wittelsbach royal family await you: Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Fairytale-like and known all over the world, they are located in the middle of a charming natural landscape. The magnificent rooms are worth a visit despite the large crowds.
- Historic Augsburg: The baroque town hall, Maximilianstrasse and the Fuggerei are just three examples of places worth seeing in Augsburg. Walk along the old city wall at the Fischertor, which dates back to Roman times. There you will also find the “Luginsland” beer garden, where you can enjoy a wonderful rest.
