Yes, it is correct, you need to book your own hotel in Reykjavík.

Yes, but depends on the accommodation you choose. There are hotels/hostels we don't pickup directly from. Perhaps you could send us the options you are checking and we will let you know if that is pickup outside or on a nearby pickup location.

If I book the trip for Nov. 15th-Nov 17th, we will take the Golden Circle tour on the 15th, the South Coast tour on the 16th, and we choose which day we do the Northern Lights?

You can do each day in the order you'd like. So, if you wish to start with the Golden Circle tour on Nov 15th and then do the South Coast tour on Nov 16th. Then you can do that. You should be able to do the Northern Lights tour on Nov 15th, 16th, or 17th. My recommendation is to do the Northern lights tour early, in case you don't see them, then you could try again while you are in Iceland.

Me (60 male) and my dad (83 active male) fly into Iceland. Based on your proposed trip, we would like to see the Blue Lagoon when we arrive - late Sunday morning and then check into hotel and have a short tour of Reykjavik in the afternoon. The evening Northern Lights tour sound perfect. Day 2 - The Golden Circle tour looks perfect. Day 3 - South Coast looks perfect. We fly out early on Day 4. Does this look like a good tour - too much or little? Could you organize this all for us or just the 3 day tour and we would organize separately the hotels, Blue Lagoon and short tour of Reykjavik?

Amazing from start to finish! The tours themselves take you all over the south part of Iceland from the glaciers to the geysers. They pick you up from your hotel /hostel and fair warned can take up to 20-40 mins from the time it says to be waiting but does say this on the ticket. I wish we could have had a little longer in some areas but overall very happy with the experience and enjoyed every minute of it. I would recommend for solo travellers or anyone wanting to get around. The northern lights tour is at night too so you get a free day essentially to do as you please on the first day. Which i chose to go to the lava caves, whale watching and watch the lava show. All excellent in there own rights. Can not wait to go again!Show more

Golden Circle Tour Day Kerið Crater was great even with some pretty foggy weather. Friðheimar Farm could be removed in my opinion as the limited daylight hours in December meant that once we finally arrived at Þingvellir National Park (4:30pm) it was pitch black and we couldn’t see or do anything. Throughout the day we also saw Gullfoss Waterfall (stunning and VERY windy) and Geysir Hot Springs (the main water blowhole explodes every 3-5mins). Overall the day was very good and our tour guide Zack was awesome but would’ve preferred a more exclusive itinerary to match up with the limited daylight hours. South Coast Tour Day This tour day was INCREDIBLE. My only feedback would be to start this day an hour earlier. The 9:30am pick up meant we didn’t get to the first place until 11:30am meaning we did lose a bit of daylight driving however our tour guide Addi was amazing and reshuffled the stops around so we did Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, Reynisdrangar Cliffs, Vík Coastal Village, Sólheimajökull Glacier, Skógafoss Waterfall and Seljalandsfoss Waterfall in that order which meant we got to see everything before it got dark. 11/10 would recommend this day tour to anyone!! Northern Lights Tour Unfortunately for us, our Northern Lights Tour was cancelled twice due to bad weather. BusTravel’s was very accommodating in rescheduling us for both nights and then a third night. Although the tour did go ahead on the third night we unfortunately didn’t see any light activity. We would love to commend our tour guide Karlo as he did everything he could to hunt the lights for us. Logistics The pick up points everyday were very organised (ours was bus stop 6) and the driver called our name out when the bus arrived so you were never wondering am I on the right bus. There were plenty of toilets throughout each day tour and plenty of stops to buy food and souvenirs. The buses also have USB charging points. Make sure to rug up if you’re in December and expect to get wet as Iceland weather changes quickly! One minute it was sun and then next to was hailing. Overall we loved our time on these tours as you can see in the photos.Show more

Very disappointing customer service of BusTravel Iceland. Due to bad weather conditions our cruise ship could not dock in the port of Akureyri. This was only known a few hours before the start of the excursion. Initially we would lose our money, later it was offered to participate in the excursion at a later time. Because our ship sailed on, and I can never travel to Iceland again due to health reasons, this is an offer that I cannot accept. The bottom line is that BusTravel Iceland took my money and I am left empty-handed through no fault of my own. Iceland is beautiful, please put it on your bucketlist. Unfortunately the hard earned money that BusTravel Iceland stole from me also remains in my memory of Iceland.Show more

Northern Lights: nice bonfire and hot chocolate, but I think they could go further away from the city, we went to a relatively close place. South Coast: incredible tour, very beautiful places. I only found very short stops in places, it could have been longer. Snaefellsnes Peninsula: simply perfect, no defects, nothing to complain about. I went in a smaller group, in a van, and the experience was sensational. Each stop more beautiful than the last. I must give a formal compliment to the guide Siggi, who only made the experience even more unique, with his incredible stories, funny jokes, tips and sensational stops. It was the best day of my entire trip. Golden Circle: I liked the tour, nothing to complain about either, nice guide. The Wi-Fi in the vehicles works very well, professionals are super attentive, pick-up at the hotel works at the agreed time, super practical and efficient. I highly recommend Bustravel Iceland, excellent value for money!Show more
