In the itinerary it notes that on day 11 you fly from Hurghada to Cairo but in the options at the end it says that we need to pay for an upgrade to fly rather than take a bus. Is the flight included?

I have a family member that would also like to book. They are in a wheelchair. Are any parts of this your handicapped accessible?

Yes, parts of the tour can be manageable for a wheelchair user, but Egypt is not uniformly wheelchair accessible, and some sites—particularly ancient tombs and certain boat transfers—have significant limitations

Instead of train you are offering air condition bus. As we have allergy issue & train may not be comfortable for our age health concern. Will appreciate help.

We will be glad to arrange the 2 ways flight upgrade from cairo to Luxor and from hurghada to cairo airport instead of the overnight sleeper train journey and the bus journey. This upgrade will include one night hotel accommodation with breakfast and all transfers between the different airports.

What does it mean the trip is partially guided.

All the daily activities will be escorted with professional Egyptologist English speaking guide except hurghada resort part of this tour, there will be no guide during this part of the tour because it is relaxing time by the red sea beach.

I'm planning on taking my family for a first trip to Egypt next year in either April or October and want to bring my small dog with me. I need some help finding dog friendly hotels and information on traveling with a small dog.

Unfortunately, bringing a dog on this tour won't be possible. Most of the hotels we use do not accept pets, and because this is a multi-destination group tour, we are unable to guarantee pet-friendly accommodation throughout the itinerary. If traveling with your dog is essential, we would recommend arranging a fully private, tailor-made tour with pet-friendly hotels, although availability is limited and subject to each hotel's policy.

Please note that entry inside the pyramid requires a separate ticket, which can be purchased on-site subject to availability. 2. Valley of the Kings Yes, the tour includes a visit to the Valley of the Kings, and visitors are typically allowed to visit 3 different tombs. The specific tombs open to visitors can vary depending on restoration work and decisions by the Egyptian authorities. On the day of your visit, your guide will advise which tombs are open. Some special tombs, such as the tomb of Tutankhamun, require an additional ticket if you wish to visit them. 3. Optional Activities Optional activities do not need to be added at the time of booking. They can usually be added later, subject to availability. We recommend adding any optional extras at least a few weeks before departure to ensure availability, particularly for popular experiences. If you decide after booking that you'd like to add any extras, simply contact us and we'll be happy to assist.

Do you offer the same tour if we arrive on 24th Nov 3pm and depart on 8 Dec 26 from Cairo with the flight at 12:30pm? If not, is it possible to catch a flight on 7th afternoon/evening instead on 8th morning?

Amazing tour! Dr Marwa took us around the pyramids and GEM; she is the most knowledgeable Egyptologist I’ve ever come across, and she explained everything very well. We’d suggest extending to 1.5 days or splitting train vs flight groups to get more time in the GEM. We do recommend upgrading to the flight to Luxor (the train is for the more hardy travellers). Luxor to Aswan was fabulous!!! Ahmed is fantastic and very easy to connect with. He was patient with our small (but highly entertaining) group; he told us great stories; helped us out along the way; and also kept in touch afterwards to make sure we’re ok and continue to enjoy our trip. Hurghada started off as a slight disappointment - we felt like we were dropped in the hotel - but we still managed to enjoy a couple of days of sun and relaxation. Tony took great care of us with Cairo logistics - and recommended an amazing restaurant. All in all, an unforgettable experience.Show more

Overall the experience was OK. The accommodations were sub-par at best this included the Nile Cruise boat which was the WORST boat on the river. The tour guides were pushy to book additional tours, collect money, and upgrade to flights whenever possible. The tour should just have the upgrades included in the total price if everyone is forced to upgrade. The all-inclusive was brutal. The food was bland, the rooms were sad, and "all-inclusive" was for terrible beer, wine and coffee. Any other drinks required additional payment. Recommendation is to be be transparent with the guests so they know what they are signing up for making the experience much more enjoyable.Show more

Overall it was a good tour. The itin unitary was good, seeing most all the temples in the areas we went to. We found our guides rushed us through and then didn't give us more than a half an hour free time. They only showed us part of each site then let us take pictures and then try and explore what was not shown. We were rushed to return to meeting point and no opportunity to stop and look at the markets at the end. We got in the shuttle and taken back to hotel or ship ( where there was nothing to see or do). I believe they just wanted their day over for their own free time.we asked to stop to shop and were told no, the driver was waiting. We of course made stops to the shops that they were paid commission if we bought the over priced items. We all wanted to leave early but then we're made to wait. There was high pressure to purchase non included tours and upgrades. We did the flights, but that should of been offered at time of booking with the price so we could of made the decision ahead of time. I suggest to give a price with the upgraded flights and without. We do feel the drivers were efficient and picked us up at all hotels as scheduled. The group was 10 and that was great also. That part I would give a 5 star. The other suggestion would be to show the hotels and ship that we would be staying BEFORE we book. We could then Google the reviews first before we booked. The meals on the ship was very good, and breakfast in the hotels.Show more

(Some issues with traveler diarrhea from 50% of our group. :( but nothing serious and resolved within 24 hours. Tours were excellent also. Has few delay for pick up time of specific tours. Recommended people to take the upgrade for cruise and airlines, if possible. Commute can be long due to a lot of stops for security check in road travel. Hotels and Resort were very good also.Show more

We planned our trip to Egypt for several years. After a lot of research we settled on the the Magic of Egypt tour. I was very pleased to see that they offered a one year payment plan with no interest. Being able to spread the cost over time made the trip much more accessible. A few months before our trip we were offered an upgrade from the normal Nile River cruise ship to the Dahabiya cruise. I looked into it and it looked very good. We chose to upgrade and it turned out to be the best choice of the trip. The Dahabiya is a smaller boat with a much higher level of luxury. On our boat there were only 10 rooms, two of which are large suites, So we received a fantastic level of attention. Our ship had an own Egyptologist, Anas, with an extensive knowledge of Egyptian history so our tours were small group and very well narrated. The food was excellent and the crew was exceptional. AB Voyages was extremely flexible to the needs of the and desires of the US and our fellow cruisers. If you are thinking about doing a Nile River cruise I HIGHLY recommend AB Voyages and if you can take the opportunity to upgrade to the Dahabiya option. You will not regret it!Show more

  We will do our very best to make the arrangements as comfortable and suitable as possible: we cannot guarantee fully wheelchair-accessible facilities throughout the Nile cruise ship and cabin with the best possible accessibility. We can arrange private transportation (with extra fees) that is more suitable for him. Standard tour buses are generally not wheelchair accessible. Trains in Egypt are also difficult for wheelchair users, as boarding normally involves steps, so you would need to consider an alternative (flight upgrade)

I'm planning on taking my family for a first trip to Egypt next year in either April or October and want to bring my small dog with me. I need some help finding dog friendly hotels and information on traveling with a small dog.

  Unfortunately, bringing a dog on this tour won't be possible. Most of the hotels we use do not accept pets, and because this is a multi-destination group tour, we are unable to guarantee pet-friendly accommodation throughout the itinerary.
  
  If traveling with your dog is essential, we would recommend arranging a fully private, tailor-made tour with pet-friendly hotels, although availability is limited and subject to each hotel's policy.

Do travellers on this trip get the chance to go inside a few of the tombs at Valley of the Kings, as seems to be common with other tours? If so, is there specific ones that this trip enters, or do people get to decide themselves? 3. When booking this trip, do you have to add the optional activities at the time of first booking, or can they be added later on? If so, when would they need to be added by?

  1. Great Pyramid Interior Visit Yes, travellers will have the opportunity to enter the Great Pyramid, provided it is open to visitors at the time of your trip. Please note that entry inside the pyramid requires a separate ticket, which can be purchased on-site subject to availability.
  
  2. Valley of the Kings Yes, the tour includes a visit to the Valley of the Kings, and visitors are typically allowed to visit 3 different tombs. The specific tombs open to visitors can vary depending on restoration work and decisions by the Egyptian authorities. On the day of your visit, your guide will advise which tombs are open. Some special tombs, such as the tomb of Tutankhamun, require an additional ticket if you wish to visit them.
  
  3. Optional Activities Optional activities do not need to be added at the time of booking. They can usually be added later, subject to availability. We recommend adding any optional extras at least a few weeks before departure to ensure availability, particularly for popular experiences.
