kathy· January 17th, 2026An amazing trip visiting some of the top antiquities in EgyptShow moreTrip date: January 2026- SHSharon· January 15th, 2026Overall this trip was fantastic. The guides were great, especially Anus and the lady guide in Cairo. They looked after us very well. Couple of comments: The hotel in Cairo had no atmosphere and the restaurant staff did not make 2 female travellers feel welcome. Night train was not pleasant so wish I had travelled by plane. Abu Semble extra excursion was a very long day with 5am start & a lot of travelling (4 hours each way) plus then a further drive from Aswan to Luxor (3 hours) was a bit much in one day. Boat on Nile was very good with friendly staff. Hurghada hotel was good and I am pleased we opted to stay an extra night & fly home from Hurghada rather than travel back to Cairo.Overall a great trip and the guides were fantastic.Show moreTrip date: January 2026

Rebecca· December 1st, 2025This was an enjoyable experience where the company managed all of the logistics. At times the tour felt somewhat rushed with limited time to reflect & observe, particularly at the Pyramids & Egyptian museum. I would have preferred to go more slowly with less talking as it was all quite overwhelming. At the museum I would have preferred to walk around alone rather than be shown various exhibits. The train from Cairo to Luxor while very basic was fine & I enjoyed the experience. I had enjoyable camaraderie with a French girl in my carriage who was also traveling alone. I was happy to be placed with a group of 17 others from another tour company on the Nile cruise. The cabin & boat were super nice, great crew & a very relaxing time. It's a shame we didn't spend more time actually cruising & the night we went through the locks on the Nile was super late so I couldn't get out & observe it. Our tour guide while very professional had a somewhat aggressive mode of speaking at the temples. He had a lot of good info but the tone was a bit much. Loudly announcing on the bus how much everyone owed in tips & other expenses I thought was inappropriate. The final days in on the Red Sea coast were enjoyable but the resort being 45 mins. south of Hurghada was quite a distance & one was pretty much confined to staying there the whole time. I would have preferred accommodation closer to Hurghada town so I could explore other things. (e.g. visit a Hamman, the bazaar). Staff at the resort were mostly friendly with most bartenders showing symptoms of tourist fatigue. Some barely made eye contact & seemed inconvenienced that I was ordering a drink. Restaurant staff were the opposite. The Tolip Hotel in Cairo was very nice with lovely rooms but again, restaurant staff were indifferent at best. The egg/omelet cook would not even acknowledge my presence nor look at me. He just threw an omelette in front of me & carried on. None of the staff in the restaurant seemed to want to be there. Weird atmosphere. The opposite of welcoming.Show moreTrip date: November 2025- YSyagmur· November 25th, 2025I recently traveled to Egypt with my dad, and the entire experience was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our tour guides—Anas, Toby, and Nasr—were exceptional. Their knowledge, professionalism, and enthusiasm brought every site to life, whether we were standing before the Great Pyramids, exploring ancient tombs, cruising the Nile, or visiting other incredible landmarks throughout Egypt. They made the trip both fun and meaningful for both me and my dad, and we felt truly immersed in the history and culture. I couldn’t have asked for a better team or a better experience. Highly recommended!Show more
AB Voyages Egypt commented on this reviewSeeing your positive rating makes our day! Thank you for choosing AB VOYAGES —we can’t wait to plan your next luxurious trip! RegardsTrip date: November 2025 - LGLarry· November 24th, 2025It is a well priced small tour and every effort was made to make customers feel they are getting value from all experiences offered. Tour guides, drivers, attractions, hotels everything. All people very knowledgeable and pleasant. Keep well informed at all times. Itinerary A little bit to rushed for elderly Westerners. As there is so much to see and conciderable distance between activities. We should have chosen sites and activities more wisely based on time available and what was a must see versus might see. All round a good value tour $ wise but certainly lots of activities in a short time.Show more

Samuel· November 21st, 2025Truly The 'Magic of Egypt'! Home to ancient wonders and packed with the most incredible and iconic sites and architecture, Egypt stands as one of the most singularly iconic destinations in the world. It is a place as breathtaking as it is grand, and having long desired to visit, I can confirm it did not disappoint. My expectations for Egypt were admittedly high, yet AB Voyages ensured that this mystical desert land managed to surpass every single one. As a solo traveller, the flawless logistical support proved to be genuinely liberating, ensuring all my energy was spent experiencing the wonders, not managing the details. It delivered the ideal combination of profound historical immersion and luxurious, necessary downtime. Stress-free Logistics: From the moment I landed, the logistics were handled with professional ease. I was awkward enough to arrive long before my hotel check-in time and had booked my own separate private excursion out to Wadi al-Hitan. To accommodate this, my Cairo guide brought me to the comfortable hotel lounge to relax after my flights, where he arranged a takeaway breakfast box for my early trip, a place to store my luggage, and even a fresh glass of orange juice, all at around 3 in the morning. This level of personalized, pre-emptive service speaks volumes about the quality of the tour operator. Once I had officially checked-in and started the tour proper, my experience only got better. We had dedicated drivers and guides for each leg of our journey. Each guide spoke impeccable English and all were a testament to hosting: knowledgeable, passionate, and incredibly attentive. They brought thousands of years of history to life, making every temple ruin and tomb feel immediate and relevant. Our itinerary felt perfectly paced, balancing the awe-inspiring sites of the Nile Valley with comfortable travel and high-quality accommodation. I felt perfectly safe and well-informed throughout the entire experience—despite my penchant for sneaking off alone for some photos with the pharaohs. Solo Travel & Group Dynamics Traveling solo was fantastic. The group dynamic was welcoming, largely thanks to the tour's structure which fostered easy camaraderie without ever feeling forced. Our group of 7 made fast friends and I instantly had travel companions for meals and site visits, but also had the freedom to explore independently when I wanted. It struck the perfect balance for a solo adventurer in a distant land. The Modern GEM of the Ancient World The inclusion of the Grand Egyptian Museum was a true highlight of the trip. Officially opening 33 years after its original announcement and on the 103rd anniversary of Howard Carter’s discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb, to be amongst the first to witness these unparalleled ancient treasures in their spectacular new home was an unforgettable privilege. The structure itself is a marvel with many incredible exhibits, but the highlight is absolutely getting to see Tutankhamun’s treasures reunited in such opulent glory. The Heart of Egypt The heart of the trip, just as it is the heart of Egypt itself, is the Nile. On our 5-star cruise down the majestic river we explored temple after temple, including the colossal Karnak and Luxor Temples, the beautiful Philae and Hatshepsut Temples, Edfu, and Kom Ombo, as we sailed in a convoy of cruisers all headed South. Delving into the tombs at the Valley of the Kings was an awe-inspiring experience, matched only by the hot air balloon ride that soared over it (I highly recommend picking up a ticket to explore the tomb of Seti I while you’re there, the reliefs and tomb paintings are so well preserved). But just sitting on the sun deck and looking out over the verdant banks and calm waters, or at the sea of lights that illuminate the waters and the night sky is perhaps the best part of the journey. ‘De-’parting by the Red Sea The "free All inclusive upgrade" at the Hurghada resort was the ideal way to decompress after an intense period of sightseeing. Trading pyramids for palm trees and cartouches in stone for cocktails by the beach was pure bliss. The resort was top-notch, offering excellent food, service, and a much-needed few days of pampered luxury. As a younger adventurer, I was concerned that the last few days would be a bit too restful for my tastes, but the snorkelling and safaris helped to balance out the R&R with some more high-octane adventure that really capped off the whole trip. Cultural Deep Dives & Evening Delights Beyond the main sites, the tour was peppered with smaller outings that truly elevated the experience. We had opportunities to shop for authentic souvenirs from Egypt’s greatest crafts, including testing Cleopatra’s famous perfumes at the aromatherapy centre, seeing the alabaster workshop, and visiting the papyrus factory where every painting glows in the dark with a secret secondary picture—offering items far superior and more authentic than many of the replicas you’ll find in the souks surrounding the conventional tourist stops. We were also treated to numerous entertainment shows, and I found myself mesmerised watching the tanoura dancers twirling their vibrant neon skirts, not to mention the belly dancers shaking their coined bedlah. The Optionals As part of the trip I opted to undertake every single optional excursion. And having done so, I can say that there was not one I would not recommend. I did not experience any temple or tomb fatigue, and found awe in the unique qualities of each new site. Of the additionals: the Karnak sound and light show was the one I feel can be skipped without any great loss—you’ll already have seen Karnak at its best, which is undoubtedly during the day. But that same evening you can still go and explore Luxor by horse drawn carriage, and this is one activity I highly suggest you don’t miss out on as it was the perfect cap to a day exploring the shrines (made extra special by stopping off for a refreshing hibiscus tea and a shisha in the Luxor balcony café). Closing Thoughts In summary, this tour was so dense with incredible, unforgettable moments—from the modern marvel of the GEM to the serenity of the Nile—that in writing this entire review, I realized I hadn't even mentioned seeing the Pyramids and the Sphinx. I believe that omission speaks volumes. It demonstrates just how thorough and complete the entire experience was, making those iconic wonders just one part of a much larger, truly magical journey. If you are considering a trip to Egypt, especially as a solo traveller, I strongly recommend booking yourself on the Magic of Egypt tour. A resounding five stars!Show more

Alan· October 31st, 2025AB Tours were great. Had to cancel trip two years ago due to illness and they let us get an almost exact tour two years later. Tony picked us up at airport and gave us a full rundown of what to expect. There was a minor glitch at start concerning a scheduling issue which he immediately rectified to our satisfaction. All of the tours and especially the guides were nothing short of fantastic. Starting with Nasr in Cairo and then Ana's through Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel. Both guides were competent , patient, and knowledgeable. The sites are busy and yet we seemed to get through with little impediment. Train was a fun ride. Just the ancient bathroom somewhat of a negative issue . The boat ride booked was great. Staff end accommodation A+. Food probably a B. However the scenery certainly makes up for it. As expressed earlier Anas was brilliant. He took care of us spectacularly. Boat was delayed at a lock and he was able to ensure alternative transportation with no delay at the next stop. Prior to saying goodbye at Luxor he made sure all the rest of our travel plans were arranged and explained Big thanks to him for all his efforts.Show more
