Thank you for your email, and I appreciate your feedback. Finding the right balance between activity and relaxation can indeed be tricky, particularly when exploring new destinations. While Explore hotel choices and accommodations might not meet everyone's typical expectations, they can still offer a comfortable and convenient base for your adventures. Hi Anton, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. While we’re delighted that you enjoyed the itinerary and your Explore Leader looked after you well, it’s a shame that the accommodation and guide in Syros didn’t score so highly for you. We do as a rule have great feedback for the accommodation used however we value all feedback and will look further in to this and thank you for your insights. We hope to have you back with us again soon.

How much walking is on this tour?

    Tour Details
    • Explore!OperatorWritten January 2024

The tour comprises of daily moderate walking visiting the various sites and to explore the different islands. Below I have broken down the daily walks: Day 3 - coastal walk to Galissas approximately 4.7kms. Day 4 - coastal walk on of the island approximately 4kms. Day 5 - 3.5km coastal walk. Day 6 - 2 hour walk along the Byzantine road. Day 7 - 3 hour walk roughly 7kms to Eggares. Day 13 - coastal walk to Fira and on to Oia approximately 4 hours. However it is not compulsory to do all the walks and you do have the option to visit other sites or take the public bus back to the hotel. There is also plenty of free time on this trip to relax and explore at your own pace avoiding the longer walks.
