We had a great tour leader Hossam who made the trip interesting and running smoothly. We did all the extras and all were great but the balloon flight and Abu Simbel were wonderful and worth the early wake up call. Ship is very nicely renovated and food is excellent. For me especially, as I am vegan, every single meal was presented and I always had options to choose from. The only thing that was not perfect were the breakfast boxes but missing a meal really didn’t hurt anyone 🫣. Ship’s crew works tirelessly and are extremely nice to all guests. We did not participate in ship evening entertainment so I can’t comment on that. All transports were timely and comfortable and again very well organised by Hossam. Nubian village was definitely worth it, as was Abu Simbel despite the very early start and long drive. The tour was quite well-organized, and in a short amount of time you get to see the major highlights of Egypt. Our guide, Hassan, was knowledgeable and made the historical parts much easier to follow. The Nile cruise itself was enjoyable and the ship was fairly good for what the tour promises. There is some inevitable fatigue because the schedule is tight, and a small downside is that tipping is expected in many parts of the trip — that’s simply how tourism works in Egypt.
