      TravelerWritten April 2023

When we say 5 people are travelling, the cost is 5 x per person. We want 2 x double rooms, and a private room for a single person. What is the cost then for each double and for the single supplementary?

    • Encounters TravelOperatorWritten April 2023

We have travellers on our tours from different ages, nationalities etc. We accept travellers that are over 80 too so travelling with people over 60 is no problem at all.

    • Encounters TravelOperatorWritten April 2023

      Room 1 - DOUBLE:
      A$4295.00 x2 people = A$8 590.00 in a double room
      Room 2 - DOUBLE:
      A$4295.00 x2 people = A$8 590.00 in a double room
      Room 3 - SINGLE:
A$4295.00 plus Single supplement A$1315.00 = A$5610.00 per single traveller in a triple room

Total for 2x double rooms and 1 single room = A$22 790.00 total for 5 travellers

What hotels would we be staying at, and what is the name of the boat? What is more information on excursions that are extra? What is the difference in the staterooms with a window or a balcony?

The hotels and accommodations listed below are the ones we most often on this tour. From time to time we may exchange these for similar properties at the same level. In general, specific hotels cannot be guaranteed on our group tours:
      • Steigenberger Cairo Pyramids Hotel – Cairo
      • Nile Cruiseboat – Luxor: M/S Amwaj (or similar)
      • Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino – Cairo

      Optional Activities:
*** the option pricing is based on a minimum of 2 participants, if any are added for just 1 person and nobody else does the option on the same day, then a single rate would apply.
      • Alexandria day trip - CAD $180 per person
      • Abu Simbel overland - CAD $165 per person
      • Cairo city tour - CAD $75 per person
      • Extra day in Cairo (5-star) - pre-tour CAD $65 per person
      • Extra day in Cairo (5-star) - post-tour CAD $115 per person
      • Hot air balloon in Luxor - CAD $150 per person

Our tours are based on a stateroom without balcony. Not all the cruises we use offer balcony cabins. so, we generally don't offer that option since it cannot be guaranteed. The key difference between staterooms with a window and balcony cabins is, one has a window and the other has a private verandah, usually furnished with a couple of chairs and a drinks table. staterooms with a window cabin can have either a rectangular window or a round porthole, which typically do not open.

I am still interested in Egypt Nov2023. There are 4 of us. We want a few days in Cairo, and a 7 day Nile cruise. We need to be in Rome by Nov 20. What do you recommend?

    • Encounters TravelOperatorWritten April 2022

I think given your requirements, our Classic Egypt tour would be a good option for you since this tour does include time in Cairo and a 7 night Nile Cruise too. In November 2023 we have a tour running from the 4th to 15th of the month, which would give you a couple of days in between the trip ending and the date you need to reach Rome. In these days, you could add on extra nights in Cairo if you wish or spend more time in Italy.

Our 4th to 15th November departure is priced at CA$4150.00 per person, based on 2 adults per room.

      Included:
      Domestic flights
All hotel accommodation in 5-star hotels
7-night 5-star Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan and back to Luxor
      All transport and transfers
24-hour airport arrival & departure transfer service
Services of a local Egyptologist tour guide for all sightseeing tours
Meals as indicated in the itinerary

      Excluded:
      International flights
      Visa fees
      Travel insurance (compulsory)
Meals not indicated in the itinerary
      Entrance fees (allow approx. US$135)
      Tipping kitty (allow approx. US$45)
Drinks, snacks and other personal expenses (e.g. laundry)
      Tour guide tips
Any other items not mentioned above
