Yes, we include a bullet train ride from Kyoto to Mt. Fuji on day 6. Also, return airport transfers are included on day 1 and day 10. Please note that we will be unable to offer you the airport transfer for early arrival, or stay behind.

While the usual mode of transportation is by coach, there is a segment where travelers will use the bullet train. As seniors, we would appreciate knowing how our luggage will be handled during that segment.

There is limited room for large suitcases on urban and long-distance trains, particularly during rush hours. On Shinkansen trains, overhead shelves are approximately 40cm high and 60cm deep, suitable for most standard-sized luggage. There is also space for two to three large suitcases behind the last row of seats in each car, however please note that this space is reserved exclusively for passengers seated in that row. According to JR regulations, each passenger may bring up to two pieces of luggage on board. Each piece must not exceed 30kg in weight, and the combined total of length, width and depth must not exceed 250cm, with the longest dimension not exceeding 200cm. Please note that an important rule applies on the Tokaido, Sanyo and Kyushu Shinkansen lines (which cover the routes in your itinerary). If your luggage exceeds 160cm in total dimensions, you are required to reserve a dedicated oversized baggage seat in advance at no extra cost. Passengers found with oversized luggage without a prior reservation will be charged a 1,000 yen surcharge. We recommend considering Japan's luggage forwarding service (Takkyubin) as a convenient alternative, which allows you to send your bags directly between hotels, typically arriving the next day.

Can you tell me what the Optional Program on Day 9 includes. Also, if I am not interested in the Optional Program can you tell me how I could arrange just a visit to the Fish Market on that day.

Day 9 of the tour will be a free day. However, we do offer a Tokyo Day Tour, available at AU $220 per person. This tour also includes the visit to the Tsukiji Market that you mentioned. We would like to get a Japan tour package quote for May 30- June 7. To & from Tokyo airport

Unfortunately, we don't have any departure date on 30 May. The nearest departure date that we have is 13 May.

I would like a tour that includes Cherry blossoms, staying in traditional houses

If you join any of our tour during March and April, there are high chances that you will see Cherry Blossom in every corner of Japan. Regarding the accommodation, unfortunately there is no night staying at the traditional Ryokan, as we only organise Western style hotels. However, all of our accommodations are comfortable, clean 3-star hotels that are conveniently located near the city centre.

We are looking at triple sharing room. Can you send me a quote. Also can you confirm if this tour is still happening or is it cancelled?

The only reason for 4/5 starts is the location of some of the hotels. 4 of the nights were at hotels that were somewhat off the beaten path and made dinner or evening activities difficult. If you enjoy relaxing at the hotel after a day of touring, you would be fine. We prefer to clean up and hit the town. I would have liked locations closer to the city center.Show more

I think you could plan a better itinerary using ChatGPT instead of paying for this tour. I think majority of the 8 and half day trip was wasted in Osaka, Hiroshima, and Kyoto; leaving barely anytime in Tokyo. Also, the only hotel I would consider even being close to a 4 star hotel was the Ala Hotel Kyoto. The Odysis, Oriental Hiroshima, Mutoso Phoenix, Hotel It, and Hotel Metropolitan were not very clean. Moreover, Hotel It charged customers for amenity items such as if you needed cotton swaps, toothbrush etc. And Hotel Metropolitan, refused the use of a luggage trolley unless you paid a fee because my reservation was made by Tomato!! I would also like to add that the tour remove the mention of “arrival pickup” from KIX airport because it is misleading. It is basically someone meeting you to show you, after a long flight and horrible experience at KIX in long confusing lines, which train to drag all your luggage onto to get to your hotel. Unless the Tomato makes adjustments to this tour, I would not recommend it!Show more

Insurance
