View in EnglishReview of my trip through Gambia and Senegal from December 23, 2025 to January 01, 2026 I was picked up on time by guide and driver Mr. Ansu Jawara who accompanied me excellently throughout the 10-day trip. He was a very enthusiastic birdwatcher and because of his knowledge he was called '"Professor" by colleagues. He was happy to have me as a photographer because he was in the process of setting up a Website and many fine photos I took he may use for this. Where internet was not available I was able to share my phone with him. I had not managed to activate the E-sim of TourRadar. The accommodations were adequate by African standards, except for the two nights in Senegal where the accommodations looked neglected and electricity was not always available. Not even a chair was available in the cabin. The food was good there, by the way, as well as at other locations. Twice the guide himself had arranged a picnic lunch and it tasted excellent. He also always had plenty of bottles of water in the car. The excursions were of a high standard where the guide managed to find many interesting local places. One serious drawback was the quality of the approx 25 year old Peugeot 206. It showed serious starting problems where the car had to be pushed five times with assistance. Along the way a shock absorber was rattled loose after which the car made an uncontrolled movement. After repairs we were able to continue. On the last day the alternator was replaced, but it did not work so we ended up with a dead battery. After contacting the office, the car was exchanged by a Mercedes so that I was dropped off at Banjul airport on time. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions there, the flight to Schiphol was cancelled and we were put up in Hotel Relax. With luck, I was able to fly back to Schiphol the next day. Asked on June 26th, 2025I would like to book this tour for the 9th of August. While reading the brochure it seems that the 10th day we have the hotel booked for the night. I had found a flight that leaves at around 20:00 from Bajul airport on the 10th day but I am wondering if the expectation is that we will be late (and therefore we won't make it for that flight) and that is why we have the hotel booked already for that night. If that is the case it is not a problem as I can book a flight for the day after, I just wanted to know

Please note that this night is not included in the tour price, as the package covers 9 nights in total. Guests can settle the cost for the additional night directly upon arrival at the hotel. This arrangement is designed to offer a more relaxed and comfortable conclusion to the trip, especially for those with late evening or next-day departures. If your flight is scheduled to depart around 20:00 on Day 10 from Banjul Airport, you should have no issues. The day's activities generally conclude by early afternoon, providing sufficient time for your transfer to the airport.

I am in Amboseli now, my tour was spilt into small programs, and I need to join with different group during the tour. I don't like it. And want to have a fix group. If I want a single room, how much cost in total? I am planning a trip in March 2024.
