  Greg was kind and approachable. We always knew expectations re timing of breakfast, bags out and bus times. WhatsApp was a great way of communicating as inevitably I let info pass by me. Some of the optional tours weren’t much - the wildlife park was upsetting re the animals didn’t look cared for. ie the polar bear and quite a few of the enclosures were without animals I would have liked another 2 night stay pushing out the tour to 21 days perhaps allowing time in one of the cities for more of a look around.   We have done several tours with different companies and while we have had great Tour directors we can honestly say Greg was by far the most impressive with not only his knowledge and professionalism. When ever an issue arose he solved it immediately without fuss. We also found he is always up for a challenge and was a pleasure to meet. Highly recommend if you ever have the chance to have him as your TD.Show more

  Over Price tour, a real waste of time and money. You spent more time sitting on the bus to sleep, toilet stop and snacks. It hurst my butt and very unhealthy. It seems you are just paying the bus and hotels for the price they charge for the tour and without the 15 expensive optional stars, you would not see anything at your expense. The optional tours are mostly rubbish but over price as well. The most expensive one was the river cruise where you have to put on a heavy suit just to freeze and get dizzy on the tiny ship full of other tourists, crowded only to see nothing but one bird flying above the rock if you are lucky. The free breakfast was part of hotel service not by Trafalgar and there were only very few dinners offered by Trafalgar. From my previous tours which I have been doing for many years, I was always sad and did not like ending the tour, but with this Trafalgar Nordic tour, for the first time, I thought of cutting if off to fly back home and I was so relieved and very happy that it ended. I just hated this tour, and I would only like to have pictures of myself and the views I paid in optional tours, nobody else, no attachment with anyone because I do not like to remember this bad experience. The worst tour I have ever experienced in my whole life from the very first day I met the tour director at the airport to the end of it. I just wished I did not choose Trafalgar, which made me feel bad personally unexpectedly as if I was scammed financially.Show more

We are especially sorry to learn that the time spent travelling between destinations felt excessive and uncomfortable. Due to the geography and scale of the region, coach travel is often necessary to reach many of the highlights our guests wish to see. That said, we understand that long periods on the road can be tiring, and we will review your comments as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure our pacing remains as comfortable and rewarding as possible. Your feedback regarding the optional experiences has been noted with great concern. These activities offer guests greater flexibility and the opportunity to personalise their journey with additional sightseeing. We are sorry you found them underwhelming and not reflective of the price paid. We will certainly review the quality and delivery of these experiences, including the river cruise you mentioned, to ensure they consistently meet our standards. We also regret that your expectations regarding included meals were not met. Breakfast is typically provided through our partner hotels, and while we do include select dinners during the tour, we understand your disappointment if the number of included meals felt insufficient or inconsistent with previous touring experiences. Perhaps most troubling for us is to hear that this was, in your words, the "worst tour" you have ever experienced. Our aim is always to create memorable, positive journeys, and it is truly disheartening to know that you were counting down the days to the end of the tour. We are genuinely sorry that your time with us felt so unsatisfactory from beginning to end — including your initial encounter with the Travel Director. Please be assured that your comments will be shared with the relevant teams to understand what may have gone wrong and to prevent future guests from feeling similarly. While we cannot undo your disappointment, we thank you for your candour and appreciate your taking the time to bring these concerns to our attention. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we continuously strive to improve the quality and experience of our tours.

  1. Redesign the itinerary. The existing one has the travelers spending tooooo many entire days sitting on a bus and at truck stops. By the time we've stopped in a town for the night, most of venues of interests (museums, churches, many restaurants, etc) were closed. Furthermore, in many towns at which we stopped, there was nothing of interest. 2. Select better locations for the hotels. Most of the accommodations were far from the areas of interest, in middle of nowhere. 3. Have a contagion control policy. One person on our trip got a bad cold or flu and infected several others. She was seated in middle of the bus coughing her head off and spreading the germs instead of being seated in the back in the empty seats as I have suggested to the tour guide. My wife and our friend were sick for a week as a result and also other passengers were effected. 4. Improve food quality. Food at the North Cape was inedible. None of the travelers were able to identify the meat there and guesses included lamb, pork, turkey, chicken, etc. 5. The tour guide seemed to get flustered when things didn't go by the script. At times, it seemed that he didn't volunteer for this trip.Show more

  I believe the Itenerary was misleading . We traveled long hours on the bus 7-8 hours . When we would arrive at our destination which was described beautifully in the Itenerary the town would be shut down for the night . Most of the hotels were clean and comfortable, however they were located a good distance from anything . I enjoy walking and there would be no place to walk to . We were told we could take a cab,however since we arrived late and our dinner was later it would not be agreeable to go out since we would have to have our luggage outside our doors at 7am . We would have very limited time in any place that was interesting and were dumped in tourist traps without any recourse . There was a 4 year old child on the tour and she whined understandably through out the tour . The child became ill and coughed everywhere . There was hand sanitizer but no face masks or any other sanitary precautions . Others including myself became ill as a result .Show more
