Asked on June 7th, 2025For the pre/post night accommodation in Kathmandu, does the $54 fee include both pre and post night or I would have to pay $108? If the latter, how would I reserve it? Also, when hiking, would we be hiking with all our belongings or leave most of the luggage someplace and only hike with what we need?
The Dragon TripOperator•Written June 2025For the pre-trip or post-trip accommodation in Kathmandu, it is priced at $54 USD per night, so it would be a total of $108 USD if you chose to add an extra night at the start of the tour and an extra night at the end of the tour. If you would like to add these on, you can do so anytime from placing a deposit with us, to around 1 month prior to travelling with us, so that our Nepal Team have time to arrange the booking and confirm the availability with the accommodation. When trekking, you will only need to bring a smaller bag with you for that portion of the tour, whilst the remaining larger amount of your luggage will be stored safely for the 3 days of trekking. We will provide a packing list before you travel, to help you with planning what to bring!

We can check if we can make an exception. We will need to ask you to fill our tour suitability form and if there are no concerns we can accept your booking. Please note that the tour does include a 3-Day hike in the Himalayas and quite a lot of driving on terrible roads. You can also choose to do a Yoga retreat if you'd prefer not to do the hike.
