What if my flight to and from Lukla is canceled or delayed?

We recommend you to allocate extra 2 / 3 days for Everest Base Camp Trek due to unpredictable weather. In rough weather, flights from Lukla to Kathmandu or vice versa get canceled. In such situations, the flight is automatically rescheduled for the next possible day. If you have a very tight schedule, you can charter a helicopter to make sure you are on schedule either for the trek or for your flight back home. However, you will have to bear the helicopter cost. But, if the visibility is less than 1,500 meters, it is impossible to operate a helicopter, and Sherpa Expedition and Trekking will reschedule the flight.

Just Completed the Mardi Himal Trek with Sherpa Expeditions, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. Despite it being the monsoon season, the trek was absolutely incredible — lush landscapes, refreshing air, and surprisingly clear views on several days! Our guide, Pemba, was outstanding. He was not only knowledgeable and professional but also kind, patient, and very attentive to our needs throughout the journey. He kept the mood positive, shared stories and insights about the region, and always made sure we felt safe and comfortable. One of the biggest surprises was catching some breathtaking views of the mountains, even during this rainy season. On clear days, the scenes were magical — like something out of a dream. The whole experience was well-organized from start to finish, and the support from the Sherpa Expeditions team was top-notch. Thank you to Pemba and the entire team for making this trek so memorable. Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 13th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of 60% is required to confirm your booking with Sherpa Expedition & Trekking Pvt. Ltd.. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Sherpa Expedition & Trekking Pvt. Ltd. will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
