Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu and meet your Sherpa Expedition Teams representative at the airport for transfer to your hotel in Thamel, the main tourist area. After settling in, there's a briefing about the Mera Peak climb ahead and you'll get to know the other climbers on your team.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Paiya
A scenic flight takes you from Kathmandu to Lukla, which serves as your entry point to the Khumbu and Everest regions. From there, you trek eastward through dense forest below the Kalo Himal ridge, then continue to Paiya for the night.

Paiya to Pingkongma
You head downhill from Paiya and cross a bridge on the way to Kari La Pass. The route takes you through low shrub and bamboo forest where you can see down into the Dudh Koshi Valley. By evening, you reach the farming village of Pingkongma to stay overnight.

Pingkongma to Ningsow Village
Starting early, you climb uphill northward from Pingkongma La Pass. You'll cross the Peseng Kharka Khola river and pass through Kharka Danda village, then cross the Ningsow Khola river before arriving at Ningsow Village for the night.

Ningsow Village to Chhatra Khola
From Ningsow, you trek up to Ramailo Danda where Mera Peak comes into clear view. The route passes through Makalu Barun Park and follows the Pasang Lhamu trail until reaching Chhatra Khola later in the day.

Chhatra Khola to Kothe
You trek northward with Mera Peak getting closer. The day involves reaching the Majang Khola river, continuing to Hinku Khola and Tashing Ongma, then crossing a bridge over the Sanu Khola before arriving at Kothe for the night.

Kothe to Thangnak
Following the Hinku Khola river with Mera Peak looming directly above, you stop for lunch at Gondishung, a small grazing settlement. After lunch, you pass the 200-year-old Lungsumgba Gompa monastery and reach Thangnak for overnight stay.

Thangnak to Khare
The trek from Thangnak to Khare includes views of Charpate Himal. You'll climb upward crossing moraines at the base of the Hinku Nup and Shar glaciers. From Khare, the north face of Mera Peak becomes visible, and you stay overnight there.

- Day 9
Khare (Acclimatization Day)
This day focuses on acclimatization at Khare. You'll stay active as recommended, and your guide covers climbing techniques for Mera Peak including ice axes, harnesses, ascenders, and crampons. You remain at Khare overnight to adjust to the altitude.

Khare to Mera High Camp
You trek through rocky terrain and cross Mera La Pass to reach Mera High Camp. From High Camp at this elevation, views open up to include Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Chamlang, and Baruntse. You stay overnight at High Camp.

Mera Peak Summit
Summit day begins very early. You climb to the 6,476m peak and experience early morning light on the snow. From the top, you can see Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Nuptse, Chamlang, Baruntse and other major peaks. After time at the summit, you descend back to Khare for the night.

Khare to Lukla to Kathmandu
An early morning scenic flight takes you from Lukla back to Kathmandu. You're transferred to your hotel in Thamel where you can walk through the narrow streets or visit historic sites around the Kathmandu Valley for the rest of the day.

Departure from Kathmandu
On your final day, a Sherpa Expedition Teams representative will take you to the airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure. This gives you plenty of time to reflect on your climbing expedition in the Himalayan Mountains before heading home.
