Recent changes in government policy have made such landings difficult. Additionally, there are plans to prohibit landings at elevations above 4,000 meters entirely due to concerns about air pollution.

The landing in Kalapathar is only possible on a private tour (it will be approximately 10-12 minutes landing for photography only). You will allow approximately 1 hour time for breakfast at the Everest View Hotel, and you have options to choose veg. breakfast.
