Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Your driver meets you in Nairobi and heads toward Masai Mara National Reserve. On the way, you'll stop at the Great Rift Valley escarpment to take in the geological landscape. Once you reach the lodge in time for lunch, you'll head out on an afternoon game drive to start spotting wildlife around the reserve.

Masai Mara National Reserve
Today is all about Masai Mara, with extended game drives from morning through evening. You'll search for lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, buffalo, antelopes, and zebras across the reserve's wide-open plains. The park holds one of the highest concentrations of wildlife per square kilometer anywhere in Africa.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
You'll leave Masai Mara and drive toward Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving by lunch time. In the afternoon, a game drive takes you around the lake and through the park where you'll see massive flocks of flamingos, plus pelicans and other waterbirds. The rhino sanctuary offers a good chance of spotting black rhinos, and you might also see lions, giraffes, warthogs, and leopards.

Lake Nakuru to Samburu
After breakfast, you head north to Samburu Game Reserve through Kenya's agricultural heartland. Along the route, you'll stop at Thomson Falls for a picnic lunch and get views of local villages and farming areas. You'll arrive at the lodge in late afternoon, then go out on a game viewing drive before dinner.

Samburu Game Reserve
This entire day keeps you in Samburu searching for rare species like reticulated giraffes, Grevy's zebras, and gerenuks that live nowhere else. You'll also look for Somali ostriches, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and buffalo. Near the Ewaso Nyiro river, crocodiles and other game species are common sightings throughout the reserve.

Samburu to Nairobi
You'll start early with a morning game drive in Samburu, then head back to camp for breakfast. After eating, the drive back to Nairobi begins, with lunch scheduled near Nanyuki at the base of Mount Kenya. You'll reach Nairobi in the early evening and get dropped at your hotel or airport.
