First of all, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you very much for choosing Himalayan Trekking Path for your Everest Base Camp Trek with a helicopter return from Gorakshep. It was our sincere pleasure to arrange this journey for you.
We are pleased to note that, despite the trek taking place during the off-season, the overall trip was managed successfully. Helicopter operations during this period are often challenging due to weather conditions and limited availability; however, the helicopter flight operated on time, and the arrangements proceeded smoothly.
With regard to your concerns, we would like to respectfully clarify a few points. As discussed prior to the start of the trek, mountain weather, particularly in December, can change rapidly, and temperatures may drop significantly. Weather conditions and helicopter operations are beyond our direct control. Additionally, as the helicopter was a shared flight, seating arrangements, including window seats, are determined by the pilot and operating company. These conditions were clearly communicated in advance.
We also observed that you did not bring sufficient cold-weather clothing and essential winter trekking gear. To ensure your comfort and safety, we provided a sleeping bag and also requested a down jacket, but not taken. While you mentioned that the temperature felt similar to that of your home country, we consistently emphasized that mountain weather is unpredictable and requires appropriate preparation.
The safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our clients are always our highest priorities. We treat our guests with great respect and care, and we strive to communicate all important information transparently. If there were any misunderstandings, they may have resulted from language limitations; however, please be assured that all relevant details were shared honestly and in advance.
