- Day 1
Amsterdam
Start settling into Amsterdam with time to yourself throughout the day. When evening arrives, you'll meet your Travel Director and the group for a Welcome Dinner cruise. The boat takes you along tree-lined canals through the Old City, then you'll head to a local restaurant for dinner and wine.

Amsterdam to Heidelberg
The drive today follows the Rhine Valley with quaint villages and hilltop castles coming into view. You'll learn about the Lorelei Rock legend as you travel. After that, head along the Neckar River to Heidelberg. A Local Expert joins you to tour Heidelberg Castle and share its history.

Heidelberg to Innsbruck
Travel through the Black Forest heading toward the Bavarian Alps. Stop to see the royal castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein beneath you. Cross into Austria from there and continue to Innsbruck. A tour covers the Imperial Palace, Golden Roof, and 14th-century houses in the Old Town.

Rome to Florence
Drive to the Chianti Hills and Florence this morning. Florence to Lucerne
Cross into Switzerland heading to Lucerne. Start by visiting the Lion Monument carved into limestone rock. Walk across the Chapel Bridge to see the ornate Jesuit Church. By afternoon you'll have free time, and there's an optional cruise on Lake Lucerne available if you want to see alpine views.
