  Our 3 day cabin and canoe adventure was the highlight of our Ontario trip... in fact we would go as far to say as it was genuinely the best experience of our lives so far! We visited from the UK with an interest in the wilderness but no canoe or Canada experience. It didn't matter! We were able to join in all of the activities fully, learn about the forest, learn new skills (canoeing, fishing, sewing bark, fungi awareness, identifying bird and animal calls) and feel completely relaxed at the same time. The silent dusk paddle and the sunset adventure were incredibly moving; we felt in touch with nature and with ourselves thanks to the excellent guiding and teaching by Baris and Jake. The cabin is a shady sanctuary from the hot sun, is just as picture perfect as the website suggests and the food is incredible! I am lucky enough to have been on various trips and tours in different countries and this far surpassed all of them in terms of hospitality, adventure, kindness and relaxation. I wish we could make it an annual trip, it was like therapy for the soul! We can't say enough good things about our trip, we shall definitely return. Thank you to Baris, Jake and Syd, you helped us to make incredible memories that will last forever!Show more

  5 day private Log Cabin and Canoe trip with a guide. Firstly I must say that our guide Terry was excellent and we enjoyed every minute, even our 3 girls aged 9, 11 & 11 were so well taken care of by Terry. The first and last night we stayed at the Log Cabin, which is really nice, not only comfortable, but set in the forest next to a lake with a sauna, it’s pretty incredible. The next 3 days we went out canoeing and camping, most days the water was like glass and paddling was easy, however when the wind picks up it can be hard work! We camped on a beautiful little island and had it all for ourselves for 2 nights. Luckily there were very few insects, we saw a bear, moose, lots of different birds and even managed to catch a couple of nice fish for dinner. The park is so pretty and was such a nice way to see it, I think we will definately be back to see more of it. Anyone doing this trip, I would recomment to pack as lightly as possible and organise beforehand what you like to eat, as you have to carry everything in the canoe and portage!Show more

  The guides were fantastic. Baris and Terry made sure we all had a good time, and were always comfortable. The accommodations were even better than I expected. The guides were very knowledgeable and made the hikes really interesting. Overall it was a fantastic adventure. The food was wonderful. There was a chef that prepared delicious meals for us. My only regret is that I forgot to buy the cook book. I would recommend this trip to anyone. In fact I would go again.Show more

  Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing the Algonquin Log Cabin Adventure over the May Long Weekend, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and felt at home in the cozy log cabin. The all-inclusive experience meant we could fully immerse ourselves in nature without worrying about the details. The activities were fantastic. Canoeing on the serene waters, hiking through the breathtaking wilderness, and enjoying delicious meals were just some of the highlights. The guided excursions added depth to our adventure, providing insights into the local flora and fauna that we would have otherwise missed. As proud Canadians, we gained valuable skills and knowledge about Canada's stunning natural landscapes, to say the least. Being off the grid was a refreshing change, allowing us to disconnect from our busy lives and connect with each other and nature. The blend of comfort and wilderness was perfect, with comfortable accommodations and the rustic charm of the cabin.
