    Asked on April 7th, 2026

Can you advise of what flights are required during this tour (besides flights to the first point and from the end point of course)?

    Flights / Transfers
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten April 2026

In terms of flights during the tour, there are no internal flights included or required. The tour is operated via comfortable air-conditioned coach (bus), and there is also a scenic ferry crossing from Helsinki to Tallinn included in the itinerary. So, the only flights you would need to arrange are your arrival flight into Helsinki (start of the tour) and your departure flight from Warsaw (end of the tour). Everything in between is already taken care of as part of the tour experience.

    Asked on March 12th, 2026

Will this tour start in Warsaw poland = end in Tallin ?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

The Helsinki to Warsaw tour actually starts in Helsinki, Finland and ends in Warsaw, Poland, so it does not begin in Warsaw or end in Tallinn.

  • D

    Dave

    Asked on January 24th, 2026

I would like to know how many hours are spent on the bus/van per day

    Transport
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

Time spent on the coach varies depending on the day's itinerary. On some days, you may spend less than three hours on the coach, and on others, the coach may not be used at all. On longer travel days, you could spend up to eight hours on the coach; however, we make frequent rest stops every two to two and a half hours. These stops allow time for bathroom breaks, stretching your legs, grabbing a bite to eat, or a photo stop.

    • D

      Dave

      TravelerWritten January 2026

How many days are spent with more than 5 hours on a bus? I love the tour , but don't want to be just riding the bus :)

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

For this tour, most days would have an average time of 5-7 Hours spent on the Coach. However, this time estimate is not only for 1 way travel as the Coach is mostly used the entire day to get from Hotel to the City Center and moving around each city when not doing walking tours. The longest one way drive would be at around 4 Hours which is on Day 6 but most of the time will only have about 2-3 Hours of Travel Time.

    Asked on October 1st, 2025

Are there any occasions where dressy clothing will be needed?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

You generally won't need very formal clothing during this trip. Most meals are casual, including the welcome dinner in Helsinki and group dinners in Vilnius, Gdansk and Warsaw. Smart-casual attire (like a nice shirt or blouse with comfortable trousers or a casual dress) is perfectly suitable if you'd like to look a little dressier for these evenings, but it's not a strict requirement. The most important things to pack are: Comfortable walking shoes for guided city tours and cobblestone streets. Layered clothing that can adapt to changing weather in the Baltics and Poland. A light waterproof jacket as showers can occur. Optional slightly dressier outfit if you'd like for the welcome or farewell dinners, or optional evening activities such as 'An Evening in Warsaw.' In short, casual and comfortable clothing is absolutely fine throughout, and dressier outfits are optional depending on your preference.

  • L

    Lindsay

    Asked on September 13th, 2025

Would there be an opportunity 4 an optional tour to Krakow? The 3 cities I wanted to visit in Poland are Warsaw, Krakow & Gdansk.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

This tour does not include Krakow, as the itinerary focuses on Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Gdansk, and Warsaw. There are no optional excursions to Krakow within this tour. The available optional excursions are in Helsinki and Warsaw only. If visiting Krakow is a priority, it would need to be arranged separately as an independent trip outside of this tour itinerary.

  • M

    Monica

    Asked on July 13th, 2025

Would it be possible to have a normal room with a double bed instead of a twin bed room? I do not sleep well in a twin size bed. I will be traveling solo with private room option. I was on a Europomundo tour and they do not stop after 2 hours of driving. Does this driving tour have a consistent break schedule at rest stops?

    Accommodation
    Transport
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2025

Our standard accommodation is based on twin-share rooms, which typically means two single beds. While we can request a double bed once your booking is confirmed, this is always subject to availability at each hotel. If you opt for the single supplement upgrade for a private room, we can still pass along your request for a double bed. Our tours do maintain a consistent and comfortable break schedule during coach travel. You can generally expect a rest stop every 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on the day's itinerary and local conditions.

  • V

    Vicki

    Asked on May 29th, 2025

Are the hotels 3 star or 4 star. There are a lot of negative reviews about the accommodation you have on your tour, have you made any changes to improve this?

    Accommodation
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten May 2025

We can confirm that our accommodations are typically a mix of 3- to 4-star hotels, selected based on their location, comfort, cleanliness, and ability to accommodate group travel. While standards and styles may vary slightly depending on the country and region, we always strive to ensure that all properties meet a good level of quality and service for our travelers.

  • J

    Jessica

    Asked on April 29th, 2025

Do you have solo supplement? Or do you put two solo travelers in one room?

    Accommodation
    Single supplement
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten April 2025

We do offer Single Room Upgrades for Solo Travelers who does not wish to share a room during the tour. Although, the upgrades are offered at a limited availability per tour. If a Solo Traveler, does not wish to pay extra for Single Room Upgrades, or they are already sold out, the Solo Traveler will be sharing a room with another solo traveler of the same gender from the tour group.

    • J

      TravelerWritten April 2025

How much is the solo supplement fee?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten April 2025

A single supplement would be at an additional cost of 930 CAD pp. Please note single supplements are subject to availability.
