Kathmandu
You'll arrive at Kathmandu International Airport where someone from the tour will meet you and take you to your hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is open for you to walk around this historic city and get a feel for things at your own pace.

- Day 2
Kathmandu to Besisahar
Head out early toward Besisahar, which is where your actual trek starts. On the drive there, you'll pass through small villages in the foothills and start seeing how people live in this region.

Besisahar to Bahundanda
Your trek begins on a dirt road down to Puwa Khola, then climbs through suspension bridges and rice terraces with views of Himalchuli and Manaslu II. You'll come across a 60m waterfall, walk through Tibetan settlements, and work your way through bamboo groves before reaching Bahundanda (about 1,311m/4,301ft).

Bahundanda to Chamje
After breakfast, descend through rice terraces shaped like bowls, passing steep cliffs and forests while visiting villages along the way. You'll cross a suspension bridge over the Marshyangdi River, then climb gradually to Jagat and continue on a rocky trail to Chamje (1,410m/4,626ft).

Landmarks Jagat Chamje - Day 5
Chamje to Bagarchhap
Cross the Marshyangdi River and climb rocky terrain with stone staircases to Sattale. From there, trek through fields and bamboo and rhododendron forests to Tal Besi, then head north across another suspension bridge to Dharapani. The day ends by climbing through mixed forest to Bagarchhap (1,971m/6,466ft), a village with traditional Tibetan architecture.

Bagarchhap to Chame
Enter the Manang Valley by climbing through pine and fir forests with Himalayan peaks visible throughout. Trek steeply through rhododendron forest to Timang, pass through Thanchowk and Koto villages, and end the day in the larger village of Chame (2,670m/8,760ft).

Chame to Upper Pisang
Trek through dense pine forest until you reach a curved rock face that rises 1,500m straight up from the river. As the trail opens, you'll have Himalayan peaks surrounding you on all sides. An extra half hour of climbing takes you to Upper Pisang (3,300m/10,827ft).

Landmarks Pisang - Day 8
Upper Pisang to Manang
Continue through the upper Manang district, which stays dry because the Annapurna Range blocks the monsoon rains. From Pisang, you can take either the north or south route along the Marsyangdi River. Both paths meet again at Mungji before continuing past Bryanga village to Manang (3,519m/11,545ft).

Manang
Stay in Manang today to rest and adjust to the altitude. Spend the day on walks around the village taking in the mountain views. Daytime acclimatization hikes help prepare your body for the higher passes coming up.

Landmarks Manang - Day 10
Manang to Khangsar
Head out from Manang through the western gate and descend to the river. Cross the Khangsar Khola bridge and climb up to Khangsar (3,734m/12,250ft), an old Tibetan-style village known as the last settled place in Nepal before remote areas.

Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp
Leave Khangsar passing a monastery on a wide path. The route climbs to a high ridge on a newer constructed path, and you can choose between an old steep scree route or a newer switchback trail. Take the switchback path to a high ridge with views, then descend through scree to Tilicho Base Camp (4,949m/16,234ft).

Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake
Start early to beat the afternoon winds. The walk from Base Camp to Tilicho Lake takes 3 to 4 hours. At the lake (claimed as the world's highest at 4,919m/16,138ft), you'll have time to take in the cold, bare landscape. After visiting, you'll head back down to Base Camp since there's nowhere to stay at the lake.

Landmarks Tilicho Lake - Day 13
Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka
Leave Base Camp and stay on high ground about 400m above Khangsar village. Pass through the ruins of old Khangsar and follow an unmarked trail going around and down. Cross a river on an old log bridge between Gumsang and Yak Kharka.

Yak Kharka to Throng Phedi
Make your way to Throng Phedi (4,541m/14,895ft), a small busy settlement at the base of the Thorong La pass. This camp is packed with trekkers and climbers preparing to cross one of the trek's most important passages.

Throng Phedi to Muktinath
Start early for a long day switchbacking up moraines and rocky ridges to Thorong La pass at 5,416m/17,769ft, marked with chortens and prayer flags. The climb takes about 4 hours on well-used trails, though altitude and weather can make it tough. After crossing, you'll descend 4 hours to Muktinath (3,760m/12,336ft), a sacred pilgrimage site with the Vishnu Temple featuring 108 waterspouts and the nearby Jwala Mai Temple known for its eternal flame.

Trek downhill from Muktinath to Jomsom (2,667m/8,750ft), gradually descending through changing landscape.

Landmarks Jomsom - Day 17
Jomsom to Pokhara
Take a 15 minute flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, flying between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks with views of the surrounding mountains. Once you land, you'll have a full afternoon free to explore Pokhara at your own speed.

Landmarks Annapurna Dhaulagiri - Day 18
Pokhara to Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu on a scenic route through farmland and local villages. Later in the evening, join a farewell dinner where you'll review photos and share stories about your trek.

Kathmandu
