Treasures of Turkey - we had been on a Peregrine tour in Egypt a few years ago and had a great guide so were a bit nervous on this tour living up to that one. No need to worry as Iskender Us was exceptional from start to finish. We would not hesitate to recommend him as a guide to anyone thinking of going to Turkey. Jo and Tim Whapham

Turkey is one of the most fascinating countries I've been to, and our guide Ugur was by far and away the most knowledgeable and exceptional I've experienced. This trip covered so much ground in two weeks, and not just the big sights but so many hidden treasures along the way - Ugur really helped us understand the political and historical context of everything we saw. The transport and accommodation was very comfortable. The day on the Fethiye near Kas was definitely a highlight. Couldn't recommend this trip or Peregrine more highly.

Our guide Erkan was extremely knowledgeable and included personal experiences and examples of his family life which made the picture of his country more interesting. The entire experience exceeded expectations. And our driver Ahmet is to be acknowledged as wonderful, too.

    2.0 - Rather poor

In June 2013 I did this 15day tour and it was awful. The accommodation was variable from 1 Star (i.e. Burns in bedding and floor coverings, no fridge in room, not even a glass) to perhaps 2 to 3 star. The guide slept as we passed some amazing sites. But worst of all we went to a carpet showroom for 2 hours and just above us was Pergamon, one of Turkey's great treasures, but I was told there was not time to visit this treasure and it was not on the itinerary. Other treasures were also ignored. I would say do your own tour and do not trust this overpriced tour company.

Highlights for me were the Cappadocia region with it's moon like landscape and the ruins at Hierapolis. The Mediterranean coast line and the town of Kas were my favourites, including the day at sea, the Turkish hosts were wonderful. The guide and driver were both excellent and definitely added to the enjoyment of the trip.
