Asante sana for your glowing review! We're absolutely thrilled to hear about your incredible 5-day fly-in fly-out safari experience. It's fantastic that Ibrahim provided you with such outstanding service throughout the booking process and even went above and beyond to assist with your transfers despite unexpected delays. We truly appreciate your kind words about his commitment to customer satisfaction. We're also delighted that you had such an amazing time with Manfred as your guide. He is a true gem, and we'll be sure to pass along your compliments. It sounds like you had some truly exceptional wildlife encounters, including those rare sightings of bat-eared foxes, black rhinos, and cheetahs with cubs! And adding new bird species to your list is always a bonus. We understand the pangolin can be elusive, but we're glad you're keeping that excitement for future adventures! We hope you'll choose African Polecats again for your next safari. Thank you for your high praise and recommendation. We're honored to have created such a memorable experience for you.

    Danielle

    Asked on May 25th, 2024

For this tour, are the roads pretty undeveloped? They were rough for a good part of our last trip. Do you have photos of the tent accommodations as we stayed in lodges last time? We are in our 70's and able but too basic would not be pleasant. We did not see Tree Climbing lions last time and are really interested in that. Does your tour of the Lake Manyara area usually have success in seeing them? We are interested in traveling when the Migration is occurring. We were told mid to late August is the best time. Is that accurate and would your tour be timed for a Migration experience?

    • African Polecat SafarisOperatorWritten May 2024

Road Conditions: The roads in the safari regions can indeed be quite undeveloped and rough in some areas. We will provide a comfortable 4x4 vehicle to navigate these terrains safely and as smoothly as possible. Tent Accommodations: We offer tented camps that are well-equipped for comfort. I will send you photos of these accommodations so you can see the level of comfort provided. Tree Climbing Lions: Lake Manyara is one of the few places where tree-climbing lions can be seen. While sightings can never be guaranteed with wildlife, our tours have a good track record of spotting them in this area. Great Migration: The Great Migration typically peaks in the Serengeti from mid to late August, which is indeed an excellent time to witness this incredible event. Our tours are designed to maximize the chances of experiencing the migration, and we can certainly plan your trip around this period for the best experience.

    Asked on April 21st, 2024

Which hotel in Arusha would you recommend to spend the night, the night before the start of the safari? Where can the tour be ended, Arusha or Kilimanjaro? What time does the tour returns to Arusha? Are there frequent transport services from Arusha to Kilimanjaro?

    Transport
    • African Polecat SafarisOperatorWritten April 2024

For a comfortable stay in Arusha before your safari, I recommend Tulia boutique, Forest Hill, Grand Melia and Karibu Heritage. The tour can be ended either in Arusha or Kilimanjaro. Typically, the tour returns to Arusha in the late afternoon around 4:45pm to 5:45pm. Yes, there are frequent transport services from Arusha to Kilimanjaro.

      Tracey

      TravelerWritten April 2024

I will need minor accommodations, such as ending the tour at Kilimanjaro instead of Arusha, owing to flight availability in the late evening. Are there any limitations on luggage types, sizes, or numbers allowed?

    • African Polecat SafarisOperatorWritten April 2024

We can arrange for the tour to end at Kilimanjaro instead of Arusha. Flights have a 20kg limitation. Extra will be paid for. Feel free to bring along what you need.

    • T

      Tracey

      TravelerWritten April 2024

I know the airlines have a 20kg policy. However, I thought your tour may have a weight or bag limitation as we are a group in a Land Rover vehicle. Can I use the usual suitcase or do I need a big duffle bag, safari style?

    • African Polecat SafarisOperatorWritten April 2024

A duffle bag is perfectly fine and actually preferable for the safari experience. It offers more flexibility and convenience during the trip.
