I really want to do a small (3-6) group to see the Mt Gorillas. I am 71 and not as agile as I used to be but I feel I can do this if with a person who is patient and understanding.

Yes this is possible to do though the hike take place within a group of up to 8 people. You may also trek Gorillas in Rwanda as this is a possibility. Both options are possible, let me know which you would like most.

Our family of four booked with New Horizons for the 6 Days Rwanda-Uganda Gorilla Experience. We made a few changes to the 'standard' itinerary to suit our preferences and New Horizons were very accommodating and responsive to our requests. The tour itself was an amazing experience, combining wildlife tours while also learning of Rwandan/Ugandan culture. Hotels and food options were also excellent. Our guide for the tour, Viateur, was absolutely fantastic. He took care of all of our needs and shared his own personal perspectives of life in eastern Arica. Hearing from local guides gave us a much broader experience on the tour and we very much hope to visit this part of the world again in the future.Show more

I loved both Rwanda and New Horizons. I didn't realize that, for this price, I would get such a personalized tour. New Horizons does not pack you together with a lot of people but provides a personalized travel experience. From the pick up in Kigali, to the selection of activities, everything was top notch. Of course I loved the Silverback Gorillas and Golden Monkeys, but the people and the beauty of Rwanda are worth experiencing alone. If there is something you particularly want to see or if you have specific date restrictions, just start emailing with Emmanuel or his co-founder, and I'm sure they will put something together that you will love.Show more

Booked my trip to Uganda with New Horizons. Did Gorilla treks at Mgahinga Gorilla Park and Chimpanzee trekking at Kibale with intoduction to Rwanda through touring the city of Kigali . From initial communications with Emmanuel i was able to customize my trip with my preferences and budget and my guide Jack did a great job to drive me through the rough African Massage roads. I truly appreciate thraveling with local companies and guides and New Horizon were amazing. Cant recommend enough!Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with New Horizon Africa Safaris. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 90 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
