Can we add an additional fourth traveller within the next week?

    Group size
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

Yes, it is possible to add a fourth traveller within the next week for the departure on Saturday, April 4th, 2026. At the moment, we still have availability for that date, so your travellers can proceed with the reservation for 3 adults, and the fourth participant can be added shortly after without any problem.

Which circuit will we be taking for the Machu Picchu tour?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

You will be visiting Machu Picchu through Circuit 1, which is a wonderful option for enjoying some of the most spectacular panoramic views of the citadel. This circuit allows visitors to reach the upper terraces of Machu Picchu, where you can admire the entire archaeological site from above. It is also the best area to take the classic panoramic photographs of Machu Picchu with the mountains in the background. Some of the benefits of Circuit 1 include: Incredible panoramic views of the entire Machu Picchu citadel. Access to the most iconic photo viewpoints, perfect for memorable pictures. A more relaxed visit, ideal for enjoying the scenery and the grandeur of the site. A unique perspective of the surrounding mountains and the impressive Inca architecture. Your guide will accompany you and provide explanations about the history and significance of this extraordinary place while you enjoy the views.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

Regarding your second question, yes, it is absolutely possible to visit Laguna Humantay or Rainbow Mountain even if you are not a big fan of hiking. There are alternative options available, such as riding a horse or an ATV (motorbike-style four-wheeler), which make the experience much easier and more comfortable.

      TravelerWritten February 2026

Which date is best if the two for better weather?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

Regarding your question about the best date for better weather, I'm happy to confirm that both dates work very well, as February is still a good time to visit. Although it is part of the rainy season, the rain is usually light and short, and Machu Picchu remains beautiful and lush. So you can feel confident choosing either date. However, if you would like to travel with other participants, I would recommend February 24th, as we already have two travelers confirmed on that departure. No, it is not necessary to do a long hike to visit Machu Picchu. The classic visit includes a guided tour inside the citadel with moderate walking, but nothing too demanding. A longer and more challenging hike is only required if you decide to add Machu Picchu Mountain (optional and with an extra cost). If you prefer not to add it, that is perfectly fine — you will still fully enjoy the guided visit to the archaeological site.

      Vincent

      TravelerWritten February 2026

Is this your fully guided with your own operating attending everything?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

All visits and services are fully guided and operated by our team, with one small exception: The train journey to/from Machu Picchu. During the train ride, the guide does not accompany passengers on board. This is because some travelers may choose different train services — for example, some upgrade to the Vistadome train, while others remain on the classic service. Your guide stays at the station to verify that all passengers board their respective trains correctly. Once you arrive at the destination station, staff will be waiting for you. You will be assisted and transferred to your hotel. The following day, your professional guide will meet you to begin the guided visit to Machu Picchu.

Our departures are fully guaranteed, even with just one traveler. For the departure on April 6th, there are currently no other travelers registered. I wanted to inquire about adding reservations for Huyana Picchu to our trip. Please let us know if it is available for our trip!

    Tour Details
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2026

We are pleased to inform you that yes, it is possible to add the Huayna Picchu ticket to your booking for the travel date of Sunday, 8 March 2026, subject to availability at the time of booking.

Tickets to Huayna Picchu are limited and in high demand, so we strongly recommend that you confirm this addition as soon as possible to ensure availability for your visit.

    • J

      Jen

      TravelerWritten January 2026

Would we confirm this with you? I looked online and didn't see a way to purchase the ticket directly on the Ministry of Travel's website.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2026

Yes, you can confirm this directly with us.
At the moment, the Ministry has not yet enabled the purchase of these tickets on its website for February onwards, which is why you were unable to find this option online. Ticket sales are released according to an official schedule.
But as I mention there is no need to worry, as we can handle the entire process on your behalf once sales are officially opened.
Please rest assured that we will take care of purchasing the additional ticket (Huayna Picchu ticket), so you can book this tour with complete peace of mind.

this original tour does not include any ATV (quad bike) activities, as it focuses mainly on cultural and scenic experiences that involve short hikes (Humantay Lake or Rainbow Mountain) and guided visits. However, if you would like to enjoy an ATV adventure, we can replace one of the walking activities, for example Rainbow Mountain, with an ATV tour in the "Abode of the Gods" (Morada de los Dioses), a wonderful and fun experience that allows you to see impressive rock formations and panoramic views. This replacement has no extra cost.

The Vistadome train is not included by default in the standard package. It is available as an optional upgrade for those who would like a more scenic and comfortable experience with panoramic windows and enhanced onboard service. Cost of Vistadome upgrade: USD $100 per person. The train travels from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes and back. While the views along the route are beautiful, you won't be able to see Machu Picchu from the train, as the citadel is located on a different mountain ridge.

One of my doubts is, at the beginning it mentions that we have breakfast included every day but there are times we leave very early, will breakfast be available at those hours? or how does it work in that case.... another thing I know there are several routes through Machupichu, which route is included in this tour? does it take us to the traditional photo? or is it to another point of machupichu?

Breakfast is included every day and available from 6:00 a.m. On early departure days, passengers will have breakfast in a restaurant en route. For example, on Day 4 - Laguna Humantay and Day 5 - Mountain of Colors, we start pickups between 03:50 to 04:10 a.m., and then make a stop to enjoy breakfast. The Machu Picchu ticket included is Circuit 3, which allows taking the classic panoramic photo, visiting the Temple of the Sun, entering the Inca House, and enjoying other relevant points within the citadel.

Are we eligible to travel without visa? Also, Machu Picchu mountain entrance tickets are included or excluded and is that confirmed in the itenary?

If you hold an Indian passport and have permanent residence in Canada, you can travel to Peru without visa. Regarding your second question, the ticket to Machu Picchu Mountain is not included in the package. The hike to either Machu Picchu Mountain or Huayna Picchu is a truly extraordinary experience that you can add for an additional cost. US$ 90 per person.

Is the entrance to Machu Picchu guaranteed? I heard that Humantay Lagoon has been closed for 2 days until further notice due to a landslide and an accident occurred a few days ago. Will this be cleared and available to visit when we arrive?

I have read that it is possible to go to the DDC office to try to get next day tickets. Is it possible?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten April 2025

Yes technically it is possible, but it's a very exhausting process and there is no guarantee of success. You would go with the hope of purchasing your ticket on the spot, but there's also a real possibility that no tickets will be available by the time you get there. Additionally, the purchase must be made in person and involves standing in long lines.
