I am looking for a trip through the vineyards at the Tuscany. Can you help me with that?

For a guided cycling trip through the vineyards of Tuscany, I recommend our Bike Across Tuscany – Guided Tour (Lucca to Florence). This 8-day itinerary follows some of the best backroads in Tuscany, taking you through vineyards, olive groves, and classic wine country landscapes, especially in the Chianti region between Siena and Florence. Along the way you'll visit UNESCO-listed towns such as San Gimignano and Siena, both surrounded by renowned wine estates. The tour places a strong emphasis on local food and wine: you'll taste regional specialties and the famous Chianti wines, staying in charming hotels and Farmhouse with easy access to wine bars and local producers. With a local tour leader riding with you, you'll benefit from insider recommendations on where to taste, which wines to try, and how to make the most of your time in Tuscany's vineyards.

We are considering a bike trip round Tuscany next year around September, October or November, which would you recommend as a balance between good weather and avoiding crowds? What model e-bike do you offer, we all tend to ride e-MTBS, hard or soft tail. What is the cost hire e-bikes?

We've updated our 2026 guided tour departure calendar and for the Bike Across Tuscany we've group departures on 7 April 2026 and 25 Sep 2026. Both are good month to cycle in the region, normally nice, warm and good weather, very enjoyable. We normally do not recommend e-MTB on this tour, the bike routes are mainly on paved roads, just a few mileage of hard packed unpaved. For this tour we do recommend Hybrid Bike or E-Touring bike or E-Gravel Bike. Bike rental rates: Aluminum hybrid: €120, Premium Titanium road or hybrid: €150, E-bike (hybrid with straight handlebar): €210.

There are some considerable mileage days and yet I can't locate any info on bike rentals...particularly type of bikes. As a road rider, the type and quality of bike is crucial to a decision to go with a particular company. I see no 'Prices tab' where supposedly this info is located. Please put the 'available Bike rentals' part of your tour front and center, not hidden as an afterthought.

To date we have 11 participants booked and they are all riding E-Touring bikes. If you are used to cycle a push bike we'd recommend to choose a 'Premium Titanium Road Bike' Or 'Premiun Ttitanium Hybrid bike'; please consider that there are some small and short routes on light gravel/off road. I don't know If you might consider an E-Touring as well.

I would definitely book a cycling trip again with Cycle Europe! The prompt responses we had up front and the attention to detail during the trip was fantastic. They provided a Ride with GPS link that had all the information about the trip, the routes, contact info, description of the rides and information about what to see that day. The route was exactly what I hoped for riding to Pisa, Vinci, Sienna, Florence and seeing the rolling terrain of Tuscany. I was very impressed with the 3 included dinners during the trip.
