I had a fantastic tour of Uganda and Rwanda with my driver and guide, Mutanda. Starting in Entebbe, within a few hours we were already in Murchison Falls National Park viewing wildlife and seeing seeing other gems of « The Pearl of Africa.». Mutanda was an excellent driver (and traffic was at times hairy, particularly around Kampala) as well as experienced primatologist and ornithologist. I was very impressed by the abundance of wildlife in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth NP’s. Our vehicle had a roof that could be raised, so that, on safari I had superb views and photo ops. En route, I got to see the Ruwenzori Mountains, a rhinoceros reserve, lakes, waterfalls and rich, green farmland. The hotels and meals were generally good quality, although I was always served much more food than I could eat. Similarly, Rwanda was a beautiful country. Highlights included Parc Nationale des Volcans, Nyungwe NP with its chimpanzees and other wildlife and the Tour de Rwanda as the race passed through Musanze. When I booked the tour I wasn’t too excited about seeing gorillas at Bwindi - I had already visited them years ago in the Congo. But this gorilla trek turned out to be my signature experience on the trip, proving that seeing gorillas in their natural habitat is a once in a lifetime experience, even the second time around.Show more

Our 19-day Uganda tour with Devine African Safaris was one of the most intense and impressive travel experiences we have ever had. The itinerary was completely customized and offered an incredible variety of landscapes and wildlife experiences - from classic safaris to rainforest trekking and challenging mountain climbs. A crucial part of this experience was our guide Emma. He was professional, calm and incredibly reliable at all times. Even on difficult, muddy and bad roads, he drove very safely. He reacted flexibly to weather and road conditions, adapted the itinerary wisely and always had good ideas for spontaneous stops. Thanks to his local knowledge, his friendly manner and his insights into everyday life on the ground, we not only saw Uganda, we really understood it. Highlights included rhino tracking on foot in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, game drives and a boat safari on the Nile in Murchison Falls National Park with elephants, lions, hippos and crocodiles as well as the unforgettable chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. The gorilla trekking in Bwindi was physically demanding but absolutely magical - we will never forget experiencing silverbacks, mothers and young animals up close. For adventure lovers, the Rwenzori trek and the ascent of Mount Sabinyo (3,669 m, on the border with Uganda, Rwanda and the Congo) were particular highlights - challenging, wild and spectacularly scenic. Queen Elizabeth National Park, especially the Ishasha sector, offered a classic safari feeling and beautiful landscapes. At the end of the trip, we also had a special Lion Experience near Entebbe, where we were able to see animals such as giraffes, zebras, lemurs and even baby lions up close - a very emotional and unforgettable end to the trip. This tour is ideal for travelers who want to experience Uganda intensively, authentically and adventurously. You should be prepared for long drives, difficult roads and physically demanding hikes - but it is absolutely worth it.Show more

We had an excellent experience in Uganda with Devine African Safaris. Ibra was an outstanding guide and driver—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful. He handled any issues quickly and efficiently and shared extensive insight into Uganda’s history, culture, wildlife, and daily life, which made the trip even more meaningful. The accommodations were great, with welcoming hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The food was fantastic, with plenty of variety throughout the trip. The wildlife experiences were unforgettable—seeing gorillas and chimpanzees up close was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Combined with the warmth of the Ugandan people, this made for an incredible and highly recommended trip.Show more

Payment information

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
