Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll land at Cairo International Airport where a representative meets you for the drive to your hotel. During the transfer, they'll fill you in on Egypt and go over what's coming up on your tour. Once you check in, settle in for the night and get some rest after traveling.

- Day 2
Cairo
After breakfast, head out to see the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx with a guide who knows the history of these 4500-year-old monuments. You get time to walk around inside and there's an optional camel ride if you want. The afternoon is yours to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum or just relax. You'll stay in Cairo again tonight.

Cairo to Aswan
An early transfer gets you to the airport for your flight to Aswan. When you land, you'll take a felucca ride around the Nile islands and pass the Agha Khan's mausoleum before boarding your cruise ship. Lunch is on board, then you'll check out the ancient granite quarries and see an unfinished obelisk. Later you stop at the High Dam and walk through the local souk before heading back to the boat for dinner.

- Day 4
Aswan to Kom Ombo
Breakfast starts your day on board. There's an optional trip to a Nubian Village on the islands where you can take a boat and maybe a camel ride, try henna tattoos, and meet the locals and their pet crocodiles. After lunch on the ship, you sail to Kom Ombo and visit the twin temples honoring Horus and Sobek. You'll also see a crocodile mummification museum and spend time at a Nile-side cafe with local entertainment before returning for dinner.

Kom Ombo to Esna
Start early at the Temple of Edfu, which is dedicated to Horus and marks where he fought Seth. Following lunch on board, the ship continues toward Esna and you can haggle with vendors in boats selling goods from the water. Then you pass through the Esna Lock and have dinner on board.

- Day 6
Esna to Luxor
After breakfast on board, you head to Luxor's 'Land of the Dead.' Spend time in the Valley of the Kings exploring pharaoh tombs with their decorated walls and hieroglyphics. You'll see Queen Hatshepsut's terraced temple and the Colossos of Memnon. Check into your hotel in the afternoon and relax by the pool watching the Nile as the sun goes down.

Luxor
From your hotel after breakfast, you'll visit Karnak, Egypt's largest ancient religious complex with its massive obelisks, sphinxes, and colonnades including the famous Giant Scarab. Then check out Luxor Temple, built over centuries by Egyptians, Alexander the Great, Romans, and Arabs. Late afternoon you transfer to the train station for your overnight journey back to Cairo (a flight option is available for extra cost).
