I am planning to book the Langtang Valley Trek. Currently I am traveling with a Daily Backpack and a big Duffelbag which wheights around 16 kg. When I am on the trek can i just carry the smaller Backpack (whith just the water and a jacket and the stuff i need during the hike in it) on my own and the bigger Duffelbag with sleepingbag and the other stuff like clothes is carried by an sherpa or how does this work?

Overall, I had a very good experience on the Annapurna Base Camp trek. The guide and porter were kind, supportive, and genuinely did their best to make the journey comfortable. I especially appreciated the extra touches—they provided walking poles, sleeping bags, warm jackets, and included tea/coffee twice a day, which made a big difference. There are a few areas for improvement. Communication was sometimes challenging due to limited English, which led to occasional misunderstandings. In some villages, accommodation didn’t seem to be arranged in advance, and I was initially taken to more basic guesthouses, even though better options were available. After I raised this, I was able to find a more suitable place. I had also paid extra for a single room, which wasn’t provided at first and only arranged after I followed up. The response from the office could have been more understanding and solution-oriented. Overall, it was still a great experience thanks to the effort and kindness of the guide and porter. With some improvements in communication and organization, this would easily be a 5-star experience.Show more
