Itinerary
- Day 1
Harare
A driver meets you at Harare International Airport and takes you through Zimbabwe's capital, driving past wide streets and a mix of older and newer buildings. Once you reach your hotel, you can relax by the pool or grab a drink at the bar. If you're interested, there's an optional afternoon city tour where you can walk around the clean streets, check out shops, and get a feel for local hospitality.

Harare to Eastern Highlands
After an early breakfast, you'll travel through farmlands and rocky terrain heading into the Eastern Highlands, which locals call 'The Little England' of Zimbabwe. Mount Inyangani, the country's highest peak at 8,503 feet/2,592 meters, creates a nice backdrop for your mountain resort. Lunch is on your own, and you'll have time to settle in and enjoy the quiet surroundings once you arrive.

Landmarks Mount Inyangani - Day 3
Nyanga
The day is yours to do what you want. You can relax with a book while looking out at the views, take a walk down to the dam to see rainbow trout, or join in on optional activities. A full-day Nyanga National Park tour is available if you'd rather explore ancient Pit Huts, visit a rainbow trout hatchery, and see local waterfalls.

Landmarks Nyanga National Park - Day 4
Nyanga to Masvingo
After breakfast, you'll travel to Masvingo, known locally as 'The Ancient City'. Your guide takes you to the Ruins of Great Zimbabwe, an ancient structure built around 1200 AD and later discovered by European settlers in 1888. This site is the largest ancient monument south of the Sahara. You'll walk through the Acropolis, the Great Enclosure, and the Conical Tower during your visit.

Masvingo to Bulawayo
Following a hearty breakfast, you'll depart for Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's second largest city, arriving around midday around 12:30 PM. The city has wide tree-lined streets and nice parks, with early Victorian heritage buildings that the council has kept well maintained. You'll visit the Bulawayo National Museum to learn more about the country before checking into your hotel. Lunch is on your own.

Matopos Hills
You'll spend a full day in Matopo Hills, an area with beautiful rock formations and rich local history. During your time here, you can see cave paintings, visit panoramic viewpoints including 'View of the World' where Cecil Rhodes is buried, and look for black rhino and plains game. The area has a high concentration of birds of prey, so you'll likely spot several species.

Hwange National Park
After breakfast, you'll depart for Hwange National Park, one of Africa's best wildlife areas with large elephant herds, predators, endangered species, and lots of birds. You'll transfer into an open vehicle for a game drive to your lodge. After checking in and having lunch with views of the plains, you'll head out for an afternoon game drive, then return for sundowners and dinner.

Landmarks Hwange National Park - Day 8
Hwange National Park
You'll start before sunrise for a game drive across the plains to see wildlife in action, spotting various animals across desert sand, sparse woodland, grasslands, and granite rock formations. Back at the lodge by mid-morning, you'll rest during the afternoon. Later, you'll head out again for an evening game drive to observe animals that are active at night in Hwange National Park.

Landmarks Hwange National Park - Day 9
Hwange to Victoria Falls
You'll wake up early for tea and coffee before a final game drive that takes you out of the national park. Along the way, you'll stop at the Painted Dog Conservation Centre to learn about wild dogs and conservation work. From there, you'll head to Victoria Falls, called 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' or 'the smoke that thunders' locally, a town with plenty of land and water activities. Your afternoon is free, though you can book optional activities like a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

Landmarks Painted Dog Conservation Centre - Day 10
Victoria Falls
This morning you'll visit a secluded Zimbabwean village to talk with a traditional medicine healer and see customs that have been passed down through generations. Afterward, you'll have a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of the world's most striking natural wonders. Your guide will stop at different spots so you can take in the views, walk through the rainforest where you'll see rainbows and feel the spray and noise from the falling water. The afternoon is yours to relax or do additional activities.
