We currently don't have any group tours between 8th and 11th of November 2025. However, we can still organize the trip for one person travelling.

My sister and I are interested in information about the 7 day gorillas, wildlife, Lake Bunyonyi, and chimp trek. We have some flexibility but are looking for an early July, 2024 departure date. Do you have availablity for the two of us, twin room, during this time?

Does this price include entry fees and permits?

The price quoted for the trip includes all park entrance fees and one gorilla trekking permit.

What are budget accommodations? Do they include a bathroom?

The difference between budget and mid-range accommodation is in the rooms' comfort and service. Midrange lodges tend to have bigger rooms, and the lodges have better amenities compared to budget lodges. However, the budget room will also have private bathrooms.

Could I have a bit of information on the camping?

The 7 Day Gorillas, Wildlife, Lake Bunyonyi and Chimp Trek is a midrange trip, which means you will have comfortable lodges with ensuite rooms when you book the tour. Eco bamboo tours are outstanding. All communication with Edison (the owner) beforehand was clear and v responsive. We got a great deal with 10%off and some free upgrade accommodation as we booked so early (6 months) plus a personal tour with our guide Herbert and his amazing pop up van. They are a small, specialised, local, community based company. The company gives a percentage of profits to the community (we saw some of the water wells and benefits of this). Edison met us personally at the end for our feedback. Herbert was an outstanding tour guide. All organisation throughout was meticulous. His knowledge and passion for the job and animals shone through. Herbert was personally clearly invested in ensuring we had the best time and couldn’t do enough for us. We saw all the animals plus more we wanted including elusive hyenas and leopards on the last night time game drive. Herbert’s ability to drive through rough terrain and spot animals whilst we were standing up looking through the roof was amazing. And brilliant. Plus he answered any questions including the agriculture, people, animals, politics and more. The tour involved a huge amount of driving across Uganda with 3 different safaris, 3 treks, 2 boat drives and 1 nighttime as well as Murchison falls. All done with consummate skill and care. (15 point turn on single dirt impassable track in middle of African plains anyone?) We always felt safe and supported - particularly important as 2 women travelling together. All treks (gorilla, golden monkey, chimps and rhino) Herbert ensured we specifically knew our ranger/porter and they knew us. Ugandan people were lovely and welcoming everywhere. (Even immigration!!). Rightly proud of their country. And the animals…. We saw the big 5 plus mountain gorillas, giraffes and more. Truly an epic adventure. I would have no hesitation recommending bamboo ecotours from our experience. 10/10.Show more

  When you book as one person, the price will increase from USD 3,440 to USD 4,660 as shown on TourRadar. The price for two people is lower because of shared costs for transportation and fuel, and the shared double/twin room for accommodation. The price listed covers gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permit, accommodation in midrange/comfortable lodges for 6 nights, meals, transport in a 4x4 vehicle + fuel, drinking water, and an English speaking tour guide.

  Would the Kasenyi plains game drives & Kazinga channel boat trip, stay at Queen Elizabeth NP be a better option to miss?

  The boat trip is quite unique to this park, and I don't recommend missing it. If you are planning to do another safari in Kenya or Tanzania, then missing the Kasenyi plains game drive is not a big deal.
