Our guide santosh khatri led us through 14 days of spectacular mountainside views, many many stairs and rolling hills everywhere you look. santosh looked after our group of 5 couples and singles) We always felt safe, in competant hands and had fun for 14 days. Limited showers and internet on the mountain but making it to EBC was worth it. I wish the guides gave us more information on the fauna and flora would have been awesome but overall cannot fault this trip. 5 stars!Show more

I took my first trip to Nepal in the Fall of 2017 without any real research into what to expect and which companies...
I took my first trip to Nepal in the Fall of 2017 without any real research into what to expect and which companies had the best reputation. Luckily, I had Santosh as my guide and could not have asked for better person leading and teaching me about the beautiful country of Nepal. One of the things that Santosh excelled at was looking out for the best interests of his clients, i.e. negotiating prices with locals and even protecting a client from a village elder who wanted to take a hiker's small drone he brought to take pictures. Regardless of whether we should or should not have had the drone, Santosh looked out for the client and played peacemaker with the locals. Nepal is a very beautiful country to visit, hence why a lot of rich westerns visit the place. You need a guide who understands the type of client visiting, and more importantly, is a local himself with knowledge and experience on the trekking routes. According to Santosh, our group was a rather difficult one to manage since we had different physical abilities. This was nothing he hadn't seen before and was able to plan daily routes accordingly. MAT also has experienced assistant guides who also know the land and trails very well. If you are doing research in to travelling to Nepal, I would seriously look at Mountain Ascend Treks. Payment information
- For any tour departing before November 5th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 5th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Mountain Ascend Treks Pvt. Ltd.. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Mountain Ascend Treks Pvt. Ltd. will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
