How do we book and what do we need to bring and what is the accommodation, we would stay in?

For the accommodation, we provide you with a three star hotel including breakfast in Kathmandu and Lodges during the trekking. Please see the itinerary. For carrying your things, you'll need: Comfortable hiking boots, down jacket, fleece/sweater, long or short-sleeved shirt, warm hiking trousers, underwear, warm hat, wide brimmed sun hat, 2-3 pairs of walking socks, warm gloves and rain coat, dark sunglasses, high factor sun-cream, lip balm, head torch, 1 liter water bottle, toiletries, small hand towel.

Could you tell me about how many pairs of clothes one will need during this trip. What type of gear is required etc. Also, how cold will it be in March during those two weeks.

I am a solo traveller. Will I have separate accommodation in the hotel etc?

Can we rent sleeping bags and jackets? Do you recommend staying an extra day to see the city or for travel purposes? Just wanted to confirm: are meals included with the package or do we pay for them separately? Also wanted to confirm: is Kala Patthar included with this package or is that separate?

1. We will provide you sleeping bags and a Duffle/Kit Bag for trekking and you can rent jackets from trekking shops near my office. 2. If you want to sightseeing Kathmandu city I recommend you to stay a day either before or after trekking where you will explore the city's several UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambunath (also known as Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. 3. The package includes three meals a day Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner during trekking and in Kathmandu we will provide you bed and breakfast in a three star hotel. 4. We have included Kala patthar trekking on this itinerary.

Excellent tour to Everest Base Camp with Adventure Himalayan Travels & Treks. We were well cared since arrival to Kathmandu airport. Rana was waiting for us and made sure we had all necessary information. Next day he saved our schedule by organizing helicopter ride to Lukla (there were no flights due to bad weather) for reasonable extra change. In Lukla we were met by our excellent guide Mon and porter Dhon. Guide had organized everything, so all we needed to do was to concentrate on walking and admiring beautiful scenery. After 4 days of continuous rain the sky finally cleared up and the rest of the trek we enjoyed in beautiful sunshine. Overall I really liked that it was very clear, what was included and what was excluded. Costs were showed transparently. Mon is honest and can be fully trusted, which I found very important. We also had many interesting discussions about living in Khumbu valley and other topics. Mon knew all the mountains and could tell lots of interesting information. But what comes to altitude sickness, you should find out the key information regarding symptoms, medicin etc. before travelling by yourself and not just count on the guide and his knowledge. Do not try to run after guide, but rather walk at your own pace without running out of breath. Guide will not leave you alone, but waits if needed. Overall I warmly recommend Adventure Himalayan Travels & Treks, its director Rana and our guide Mon as well as porter Dhon for trekking in Himalayas. They all made our dreams come true and did their best to make sure we had great holiday. We truly did. Thank you!Show more

This two-week Mount Everest Bascamp, roundtrip from a Lukla Airport, over its 100+ miles long and there mile elevation, gave me a great sense of accomplishment. My personal guide Mann was very patient with this senior hikers slow pace. His assistance on the two days we were climbing in the rain and dark until 9:30 PM was a Godscend. He held on to me as we trod in the pouring rain over steep, rocky terrain lit by the flashlight on his cellphone. The guesthouses and meals in those facilities provided a comfortable, clean respite between the segments of the trek.Show more

  I have read in a few reviews that the toilets in the tea houses did not flush and were filthy. I am therefore concerned about hygiene. I hope that the tour company informs the tea houses of this. I do understand that the facilities will not be grand but I do expect the proper hygiene and sanitary precautions be followed. Toilets need to be able to flush and must be clean. Please let me know so that my mind is put at ease before I book.

  Some of the lodges have a attached bathroom but some don't. As the elevation increases the tea houses or lodges don't have attached bathroom. The bathroom will be shared by the people in these places. Sometimes, due to the cold weather the water freezes in these areas and the toilets will not flush. I will tell the owners of the lodges to keep it clean and check if the water is working properly.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 2nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 2nd, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Adventure Himalayan Travels. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Adventure Himalayan Travels will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Adventure Himalayan Travels" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of Adventure Himalayan Travels. Please familiarize yourself with the Adventure Himalayan Travels payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
