I would not recommend the Islamic Heritage tour. The Spain portion was extremely unorganized. Hotels in Toledo and Granada were not pre booked or prepaid. There was no English speaking tour setup in Toledo. The only saving grace was our driver who worked hard to make things right for us. We were told once we reached Morocco that things would get better. The hotel in Tangier was booked but not prepaid. We paid the hotel bill (our driver did reimburse us, but considering we paid for this tour in full 2 months before this situation was unacceptable). The tour agency did finally make an effort for Fez and Marrakech. The end of the tour was great, but it should not have taken so long to fix. Please also be aware, that even though it says breakfast and dinner included, the beverages with dinner are charged as extra in Morocco (even the bottled water). There was an awkward moment when checking out in Fez because we assumed it was covered, but the tour agency did cover the beverage when checking out. We paid for our beverages in Marrakech. This was the first time we took a tour like this. I do NOT plan to do this ever again, especially with Tour Radar. We called at the start of the tour with the issues, were told it would get fixed, but kept having issues up to Tangier. In Fez the local agency tried to blame our driver, but I spoke with the reception at the hotels and the issue was the tour agency not making proper bookings. When hotels are not pre-booked, you get whatever rooms are available, which are usually not the best. So thankful for our driver, otherwise this trip would have been a disaster.

My wife has provided a separate review. I (Mohammed Javed) am adding a bit on my own. Both the guides, Adnan for Spain and Nisrin for Morocco were excellent, very cooperative and helpful. Suffice it to say that say that with both the guides, we were like a family and enjoyed the trip fully. Adnan, while departing said, "You are like my father." I responded, "you are like my son." At the beginning of the tour in Morocco, I asked Nisrin, what shall I call you, niece or a sister? She preferred that I call her a sister. We revised our itinerary to add Marzouga and had a sand bath for my two arthritic legs. Hammadi did it, though done only once the process acted like a magic and you would be surprised that after that I abandoned my walking stick and was able to climb a high sand dune to watch sun set. Nisrin offered to help me climb and the camel rider too - out of modesty, I hesitated to get the support of her shoulder and immediately she said that I am your sister, feel free to rest your hand. It was a touching compliment and I still remember her feeling and affection for me. Thank you Nisrin. In Toledo, Spain, my wife accidentally dropped my walking stick into a ravine, Adnan went and fetched it though it was not an easy task. He used to call my stick, "'Assa Mousa" or stick of Mousa (peace be on him) and used to say that there is lot of blessing in the walking stick.

Thank you, Mr. Javed. My staff and I were delighted to have in both Spain and Morocco with us. You called Adnan you son and Nisrine your sister, then you can call me your brother. Kindly, Khalil
