We are planning a round trip starting in Darwin: Kakadu National Park, Nitmiluk Gorge, maybe Litchfield. We were thinking of a trip lasting between 5-8 days. Not too large a group, accommodation in a double room in a hotel. We will arrive in Darwin on the afternoon of 25 July. Can you offer us anything?

We can offer you a small group tour called "Northern Territory Top End National Parks". This is a 6-day, 5-night tour starting in Darwin on 29-July and ending in Darwin on 03-Aug.

Can you please confirm if day 1 (Welcome to Darwin) of the Top End Highlights tour is self guided as in you don't actually meet with a guide until day 2. If you do meet with a guide on day 1, are the entrance fees of the sights or any additional fees covered? In other words, the tour itself doesn't really start until day 2. It looks like the tour ends at the end of day 5. Day 6 there are no tours or activities.

The tour will begin with Darwin City Sights at approximately 4:00 PM, accompanied by our tour director. Following that, you will visit the Mindil Beach Markets around 5:30 PM, after which you will have free time for the evening. On Day 6, we will travel from Kakadu back to Darwin. On your return journey, we will stop to visit the Fogg Dam.

Can you please provide a quote for 1 night of pre accommodation. Can you please confirm the start time of tour. Can you please confirm finsh time of tour. He has a flight departing approximately around 5pm on the last day and would like to know if he will have sufficient time to make it to the airport.

Unfortunately we are unable to book pre night accommodation at the Travelodge Darwin Resort as we have sold out our allotment. The Guided Holiday starts at 03:30 pm in Darwin at the Travelodge Resort Darwin and the Tour ends at 12:00 pm.

Is there a tour suitable for a 60-year-old fit traveler to Kakadu who wants a single tent accommodation?

The tour is 6 days long, not 5 days, and does not offer camping accommodation. We have hotel stays available. Let us know if your dad is okay with a 6-day hotel tour.

Do I need to advise you if I have any mobility issues or a serious medical condition?

Its essential you advise our team of Travel Experts at the time of booking if you have any mobility issues or serious medical conditions, so that we can ensure, as much as possible, your needs are met on your tour. Unfortunately due to space considerations on this tour it is not possible to accommodate motorised scooters and non-collapsible wheelchairs.

Do you cater for special dietary requirements?

If you have a special dietary requirement such as gluten-free, vegetarian etc please advise our team of Travel Experts at the time of booking to ensure the tour operator can do their best to accommodate your request.

When will I receive my travel documents?

Your travel documents will be posted to you in a travel wallet which will contain your documents and luggage tags to you approximately four weeks before your departure date.

I am travelling alone, is there a single supplement?

If you are a single traveller you can either choose to share a room with another guest of the same gender at no extra cost or if you prefer the privacy of your own room you can pay a single supplement to upgrade to a single room. Am I able to bring my children on this tour?

  This guided holiday only operates a few times this summer, so we do not have a tour starting on the 26th or 27th. If you are open to book something shorter, we offer "Short Breaks" that operate more often. Our Kakadu and Arnhem Land Explorer operates almost daily in July, and we can request for July 26th or July 27th. This is a 3-day, 2-night tour.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 19th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 19th, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with AAT Kings. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
