What people love about Greece and Turkey Tours in April
- Best of Greece and Turkey with 3-day Cruise (Small Group)
so the tour overall covered so much! it would be impossible to visti/do as much in each country without this tour. With that being said there are some warning I wish someone told me. Greece: the cruise was very nice, but it was a smaller boat, so you felt every single wave. If you are prone to sea sickness, I would not recommend Celestial Cruise lines. I've been on a larger ferry/ cruise ships before, and never felt so much rocking before. The islands were great, and it was a taste of everything. But if you do all the excursions, you have to pay more, and wake up at 6 am everyday. The cruise is not a beach vacation, be ready to walk uphill and learn a lot about Greece. Turkey: This trip was phenomenal, but the bus was a bit small and my husband and I sat separately to be more comfortable. Also, the drives are LONG. the longest drive was 10 hours long, and it felt like we did more driving than exploring. the hot air balloons was an amazing experience, but you have to wake up at 3 am, pickup 4am, and then you have a whole day of excursions with the rest of the group. Needless to say, by 4pm i was EXHAUSTED but we were not near done. When we reached some of the cities, there wasn't any time to do anything and you were exhausted from the drives. The cave hotel was a great experience, but it was HOT. there is no ac, and even though it was cold outside I was sweating and uncomfortable. Also, there was no time to shop until Istanbul. I was looking forward to go to Izmir and Istanbul for the leather/turkish rugs, but they just pushed one store of each on us, and then we could only get what we wanted from there, because there was no time to go anywhere else. Finally I loved that my last stop was in Istanbul because i was able to shop the way i wanted to. Overall, from a history perspective, this tour was amazing. But if you want a tour that's slower paced, and more relaxing, i would find another tour that's either longer, or has less things to do.
- The Great Odyssey
This tour was amaziing ! Even though it was an 18 day itinerary, everything was overall well organized, we didn't feel like we had to worry about anything. Seeing Pamukkale Travertines, riding hot air balloon ride in Capadoccia were some of my favourite experiences from this trip. Santorini, Crete was just a sight wherever you look at. Our guides were very entertaining and nice. They were experienced and knowledgable, they made us learn a lot. We had an fabolous time, thank you sooo much.
- Flavours of Turkey and Greece -III-
This tour is amazing ,, but be prepared to wake up early and be on the move ,,, lots of hiking, walking and hours of driving but it’s a must , in order to see the marvels , our guide was Kenic and he was fantastic and we truly saw amazing places and had great experience. The “factories” were fun but except the carpet manufacturers, which was very informative , the jewelry and leather “ factories “ were more as a tourist trap . Still they were nice and a good place to get souvenir.we highly recommend this tour !
