  1. Day 1

    Cairo

    You'll arrive in Cairo and connect with your professional guide who handles visa processing and gives you a rundown of the city. A private air-conditioned vehicle takes you to your hotel for check-in, then you have the rest of the day to settle in and relax at the property.

    Cairo

    Start with a typical Egyptian breakfast, then head out with an official English-speaking guide to explore Cairo's key sites. Later in the evening, you can catch the Giza Pyramids light show or book a dinner show on a floating Nile restaurant if you're interested.

    Cairo

    After breakfast, you'll spend the full day exploring Cairo with your guide. The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities comes first, where you'll see Tutankhamun's artifacts and mummies. After lunch, you'll check out the Coptic neighborhood including the Hanging Church, Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Then you'll visit the Citadel of Saladin and walk through Jan El Jalili bazaar before returning to your hotel.

    Following breakfast, you'll transfer to Cairo International Airport for check-in and any tax refund processing. Your flight heads to Istanbul, and when you arrive, an English-speaking assistant meets you with details about your itinerary and an overview of the city. You'll transfer to your hotel for check-in, then have time to relax or start exploring on your own.

    Istanbul

    You'll start after breakfast with an English-speaking guide for a full-day Istanbul tour. The itinerary covers Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, plus the Grand Bazaar with its thousands of shops. Lunch at a central restaurant is included along with all necessary tickets. Later, you can explore the old city at your own pace and head back to your hotel.

    It was a great trip. The one thing I have to caution everybody on is getting the rental car and returning the rental car is a little bit confusing. They give you two addresses and to actually pick up the car. You have to go to this different location that’s underground and difficult to find.
