We recently returned from a wonderful holiday in Greece, beginning with Globus’s Classical Greece tour and followed by a week at an Iberostar resort in Crete. The tour was excellent, thanks in large part to our exceptional guides. Evie guided us on the mainland and brought Greek history, mythology, archaeological sites, and culture to life through her extensive knowledge and engaging stories. We then spent a beautiful evening having a Greek dinner by the sea with Anna, who was very kind. Our favourite part of the tour was visiting the stunning islands of Mykonos and Santorini. Our guide, Themis Tsoupou, was outstanding—highly knowledgeable about Greek history and full of entertaining stories about Greek culture. Her support extended far beyond her role as our guide. My husband has cluster headaches and experienced severe attacks while we were on the islands. At home, oxygen helps manage them, but during the trip we had only his prescription medications, which provided limited relief. Themis arranged oxygen in Santorini, allowing us to continue the tour instead of returning home early. She also made several calls to find a supplier for our stay in Crete, enabling us to enjoy the rest of our holiday. When we needed a refill days after her guiding duties had ended, she again helped us communicate with the Greek-speaking supplier to obtain the needed oxygen. Facing a medical emergency in a foreign country without speaking the language can be overwhelming, so a simple thank-you hardly seems enough. We are deeply grateful for her kindness, resourcefulness, and continued support, which made it possible for us to complete our vacation. Globus is fortunate to have such exceptional tour guides and we will definitely be sharing our story. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Themis.Show more

I felt the director and driver worked real hard to make my experience the best it could be under the circumstances'. With 2 holidays taking place in this tour it was quite difficult to fully enjoy our time in Athens and caused tension among some of the fellow travelers. I received great help in the purchase of a gold necklace and thank both the driver and director for their assistance. I would highly recommend both of them and this tour-just be mindful when there are weeks with so many holidays that include the closure of all sites, stores, restaurants, etc.Show more
