Hi, dear guest. for the permit issue I am very sorry. we cannot control all the permit application are very punctual or to be done in advance, as the permission will be went through serval government departments, sometimes if one delay the issuance and we have to wait to pass it to the next department, if permit is issued at last minute, we must to guarantee the permit delivery by fastest air express service to deliver it from Lhasa to a city in mainland China. in this case, we hope you can understand it. For many years we have not fail to delivery one permit. For roommate, we had tried our best to organize the room for solo travelers. Sometimes guest need to pay single room supplement if we can not find the roommate for him/her. Or both solo travelers do not want to live in one room.

    Asked on June 30th, 2024

Would like to get a quote for two people for the selected tour. I'm HK National, I have HK passport and travel documents. I think I don't need the Tibet permit. My friend is Australian passport holder. We are planning to get to Tibet by train from Sining, just wondering if you can buy the train ticket, Sining to Lhasa, overnight train for us too.

    Visa
    • Tibet VistaOperatorWritten July 2024

HK National people don't need Tibet permit for the trip, your friend needs but Australian passport holder are 15 days visa-free to China, that means we can get his/her Tibet permit here by only using his/her passport copy if the trip is within 15 days. We can help you get your train tickets Xining - Lhasa, it costs $175/person based on soft sleeper ticket with service fee included, it takes around 20 hours.

For the train from Xining to Lhasa, we want the train leaving Xining at the evening, and arriving Lhasa the following day afternoon, we want to see the scenery during the day. Can you confirm that you can book for that train for us please?

    • Tibet VistaOperatorWritten July 2024

There are a few trains between Xining and Lhasa every day. I personally can't guarantee you to get the day train tickets, usually No problem to get the night train.

Is it hard to get the train Z165 from Xining to Lhasa that departs at 1926pm? We really want to take this train.

    • Tibet VistaOperatorWritten July 2024

I always guarantee my customers that I'm 100% sure, I can only say: your train tickets Xining - Lhasa are guaranteed but which train we can get is Not guaranteed. Usually get the night train without problem, it's a little bit hard to get day train, but again your train tickets are guaranteeed.

    • S

      Sabrina

Would my tour cost be less because I'm a Hong Kong National and don't need a Tibet permit? Do you do air fare bookings too? We are planning to go to Nepal or Tashkent after Tibet, wondering if you can help to organize air fare from Lhasa to Tashkent or Lahsa to Kathmandu after the Tibet tour finishes.

    • Tibet VistaOperatorWritten July 2024

It's same cost for Chinese people even you don't need Tibet permit, because we didn't charge customers any cost on permit application. We can help customers book the flight ticket but only domestic flight, not international flight.

    Asked on June 13th, 2024

Can I have a single room and how much is the single room supplement? Can you also personalize this to include a train journey from Xining to Lhasa on Oct 26th?

    Flights / Transfers
    Single supplement
    Transport
    • Tibet VistaOperatorWritten June 2024

Single supplement is $170 based on 3-star hotel single room with a big bed except one night in guesthouse at Everest Base Camp(EBC). You can book this tour here directly and pay single supplement when you arrive in Lhasa. We can help you book the train ticket Xining - Lhasa for 26th Oct(arrive in Lhasa on 27th Oct), it takes around 20 hours and it costs $165/person based on soft sleeper ticket.

    • T

      Tanya

      TravelerWritten June 2024

Is there not a single room also at EBC? Do the hotels include daily breakfast? Is there an option to change to a 4-star hotel and how much is it? What is the maximum luggage size for bringing into the train? Can I book a lower-bunk bed on the soft sleeper? I am not young and I cannot climb up the upper bunk. Do you offer processing of visa for Tibet? After I process my Chinese visa, can I just send a photocopy for you to process the Tibet visa?

    • Tibet VistaOperatorWritten June 2024

We can arrange a single room for you at EBC but only in guesthouse without breakfast. All other 3-star and 4-star in Lhasa and Shigatse provided daily breakfast. Bring normal boot for clothes would be okay, no limited size. We will do our best to help you book the lower bed of train ticket but Not guaranteed, 70% of possibility can get the lower bed. Yes, only we can help you get your Tibet permit by using your passport and China visa copies usually one month before the tour starts. If you need to update the accommodations to 4-star hotel, single supplement would be $292.

    • T

      Tanya

      TravelerWritten June 2024

Alright Amy, so how much will this trip cost in total including these? 1. Train ticket for soft-sleeper lower bunk bed on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway (oct 26, 2024, late afternoon or night departure) 2. Single room at EBC tent or guesthouse (how is the toilet system here?) 3. Upgrade to 4-star hotel with single room supplement 4. 8-days tour by Tibet Vista starting on October 27, 2024. Can you please give me an example of hotel name of 3-star hotel and 4-star hotel so I can make a comparison and decide on which one I take?

    • Tibet VistaOperatorWritten June 2024

Total tour cost for 3-star hotel: $1059/group tour+$170/single supplement+$165/train ticket Xining-Lhasa=$1394. Total tour cost for 4-star hotel: $1184+$292/single supplement+$165/train ticket Xining-Lhasa=$1641. 3-star hotel we usually use Cang-gyan Hotel in Lhasa, Shiga Yangcha Grand Hotel in Shigatse, one night in guesthouse at EBC. 4-star hotel we usually use Tangka Hotel in Lhasa, Sheli Hotel in Shigatse, one night in guesthouse at EBC. Public toilet outside of your accommodation at EBC. Private western style toilet only in the 3-star and 4-star hotel.

    • T

      Tanya

      TravelerWritten June 2024

If I decide to book this with train + 4-star hotel upgrade + single room supplement + single room at EBC, how do I go about it? The tourradar website does not have options to choose from. Also, is this a guaranteed departure date and would it be safe to book airtickets already?

    • T

      Tanya

      TravelerWritten June 2024

I am sorry Amy, my mind cannot accept the condition of the toilets at EBC. I am okay with the toilet being outside but I am sure I will throw up if I see this condition. Even at high elevation, they should at least build decent and clean toilets if they want the tourists to come. People will not mind having to pay to use the toilets.
