Unfortunately this is the only Salkantay Trek trip we offer.

Here are the lengths of each hike each day. Day 1: 13KM Reaching an Elevation of 3900M Day 2: 17-18KM Reaching Elevation of 4600M Day 3: 16KM Same Elevation

Would you be able to accommodate him for trek up to Machu Picchu? Travel dates are flexible but prefers middle of August.

This trip does not include the Inca Trail so availability is no problem for mid August.

We do not have availability for May 11th departure. The first departure where we have availability for this tour is June 22nd. The June 8th departure is on request, however, currently only an alternative Machu Picchu route is available for it, if you are interested in this departure and would like to know more about the alternative route, please let us know!

What are the group size limits for the trek?

Do you have any availability for the Salkantanay trail on Monday May 5th to Friday may 9th? Me and my friends really want to do this trail. If there is availability, how many spots are available?

We do not have a May 5th-9th departure date for our Salkantay Trek & Machu Picchu tour. For next available dates surrounding the month of May, we have an April 27th-May 1st departure or a June 8th-12 departure available.

How much does the trek cost?

Prices vary depending on the season and availability. Please refer to our website or contact us directly for the most accurate pricing.

How should I prepare regarding medical insurance?

Ensure your travel insurance covers medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and repatriation to your home country, covering at least $200,000 per traveler.

Is there a lot of waiting around with group sizes of 16 people? Any cheaper with own gear or sleeping bags, mats etc?

There wouldn't be any waiting around no, everyone will just be on the move together. The following are available to rent locally: Camping mattress/sleep mat (45 soles), Sleeping bag (45 soles), Walking poles (15 soles each (30 per pair)). This would not lower the base tour cost on the website, but you could avoid renting the equipment as listed above.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 5th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 5th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
