The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, allowing us to see incredible places while still having time to relax and enjoy the journey.   Excellent value for cost. Everything was well run and on time.i was the only one on the tour so I essentially had a private driver for the entire tour. My driver, Takhat, was excellent. Traffic is crazy but I'm still here. Takhat made some excellent suggestions to add to the itinerary. He was really great to get along with. Be prepared for craft demonstrations. All were very interesting and not too much sales pressure. The guides were knowledgeable and mostly understandabe.Enjoyable and recommended.Show more

  We were extremely happy with our Taj Mahal, Wildlife and Royal Stays itinerary, however the wildlife was a little scarce in Ranthambore. The standard of accommodation (4 star) was consistent throughout the trip with the standout being the royal stays. Amazing places and the staff throughout were helpful and friendly. In each city the tour guides were very knowledgeable and punctual. Our driver Vicky looked after us throughout the trip, nothing was too much trouble for him. A credit to the company. The itinerary was a perfect introduction to India.Show more

  We enjoyed our stay in India and appreciate the help our driver, Mr.Bhagirath, gave us during our travels. The price of the Taj Mahal and Wildlife with Royal Stay at Castles tour was very attractive. We had a private tour which gave us flexibility to spend more time at some sights and less at others. The tour covered a lot of ground and hit the highlights of Rajasthan with some days only being travel from one city to another. Hotels were quite nice, but not in areas that one could walk to interesting shops or parks in the evening. We ate most of our evening meals in the hotels. Be prepared for the local guides to abruptly have a "special stop" during the day which would be a shop making and selling miniature paintings, rugs, fabric, stone work, etc. We saw miniature painting demos 3 times! Local guides would often give us reasons to not go to some sites (Agra fort only has 2 rooms open, not much to see, etc.) There are 2 improvements that come to mind: - First, the tour should list the expected amount of cash one should bring for the monument entrance fees. Most would not take credit card and we had to keep getting money changed for fees and tips. (In USD, $100 bills get better exchange rates than $20s.) This information would be very helpful. - Second, the tour should list the names of all sites to be seen. In Udaipur we were taken to the Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Parishad show by our driver upon arrival. The next day when when we asked our guide about the "museum of Folk Art" he said this show was the same. Our day ended at 3 pm since the guide had moved the evening boat ride to the morning. I later found that we probably were supposed to go to the Bharatiya Lok Kala Museum which sounds very interesting. Overall, a good tour and a good value.Show more

  It was great to have a private driver and Mahi was friendly, prompt and kept the car clean. Although we upgraded to 4/5 star accommodation 3 of the stays were more like 2 stars and not acceptable for the extra money we paid. Itinerary was loose and changed on us at the last minute increasing our travel time significantly. Advise to be firm on whether you want to shop as I felt we were mislead into repeatedly being taken to same shops in each town for carpets, miniature paintings etc wasting valuable time and feeling trapped into hard sells!Show more

  I was so happy and blessed to have Vishnu Singh Shekhawat as my driver through Swastik India Journeys on their Taj Mahal Wildlife with Royal Stay at Castles tour in February of 2026. He did an awesome job of taking care of the many details of the itinerary, communicating and arranging with the many local guides and getting us safely through all of the stops. Plus he shared many details about local culture with a history of India too along the way. We bonded very quickly and enjoyed our time together on the trip. I was a bit worried before the trip as it was to be just me and the guide, but I had the Best driver/guide that I could have had. Thanks much to Vishnu for guiding me safely through my first visit to India and for making it much fun! These are memories that I will enjoy and share for years to come. I highly recommend this tour as it is an excellent experience including, and beyond, the Golden Triangle at a very reasonable price, And I would suggest to request Vishnu as your driver.Show more

  This was a fantastic tour seeing beautiful palaces, fortress and scenery in cities and countryside across Rajasthan. Be prepared for a lot of travelling but the itinerary was well worth it and the arrangements and logistics were seamless. My brilliant and helpful driver Narendra drove me for the whole week, and was supplemented by local specialist qualified guides in each location. I'd booked a group tour and it still ran with only me at no extra charge.Show more
