Hotel Locations - Hotels should be located in safe areas and where the guests can go for walks, be able to buy fruits & drinks (not available at some of the hotels), have an outdoor area (eg garden or patio) to get out of the room 2. Bathrooms were our biggest problems in most locations - no hot water (we had to constantly call and sometimes with the shower not working were given a pail of hot water - not acceptable), discolored white towels often missing Floor Towels (exposing us seniors to a fall on wet floors), missing soap / Shower Gel OR non-functioning dispensers (these are basics of even 2 star hotels/motels), showers do not function properly exposing guests to risk of burns 3. Phones - some phones not working to contact front desk for help (a total inconvenience in addition to other problems that need support) 4. - RBRizvana· January 13th, 2026Getting a good price for the tour was great, though now I can see some of the pitfalls. Some of the hotels were a good distance away from the main city. Some had tepid water for showers. One of the hotels touted leaked when flushed, so we took the bucket, filled it with water and used that to flush it. Some hotels were not handicapped friendly, no elevators and heritage hotels had very narrow stairs. The guides were good but our shining star was this young man called Kapil our driver whose temperament and easy nature won our hearts. He drove well, the crowds and the nature of driving on the road was just incredible. Do ask for him if you can.Show moreTrip date: December 2025

We luckily saw a tiger on the Ranthambhore safari. The Taj Mahal is more wonderful in real life than it ever is in a photograph. I would especially like to mention our driver Amar Meena. - NTNerie· January 7th, 2026I’ve just arrived back home in Australia today after this 11- day tour, lavished with beautiful memories of India. My first visit and travelled solo. Delighted to have chosen Swastik India Journeys. This tour is very organised, the pace is relaxing. Usually started the day at 8:00 or 9:00. Only the tiger safari started very early. This tour involves a lot of driving time and I liked it, as I witnessed many things along the way each day. The guides are knowledgeable with the history and particulars of the place. They presented themselves well, professional and passionate of what they do. If it involved navigating through very busy streets and chaotic traffic, they made sure I was safe. They speak English well. The hotels are good. The lovely heritage hotels and the castle stays seemed to take me back into different eras. It was a really great experience. My driver Vishnu is friendly and always on time. I always feel safe. While driving he also served as a guide pointing out to me important places on the way in the areas of India that the tour covered.Show more
