Do you do this tour in reverse where it starts in Oslo?

We do not have this exact itinerary in reverse. However, we do have a trip that starts in Oslo and goes up North to the Lofoten Islands known for its dramatic scenery and Tromso which is located in the heart of the Arctic wilderness and is surrounded by beautiful fjords. While this is not a foodie specific tour you can always make it one and our local tour leader would be able to make some delicious recommendations.

Nikolai was FANTASTIC!!!! He was a great tour leader. The tour took us to many places and he educated us well. However, just a few negative comments. The hotels were not satisfactory ....I am used to better hotels when I travel. Carrying my luggage throughout the tour was very burdensome. I am an older person, and although I am in great shape, I did not want to be responsible for carrying my luggage everywhere. There was an 89 year old man on our trip. He had a real hard time catching up. I usually go on escorted tours where my luggage, and everything else, is handled by the guides, not by me. I loved the places that wer went to and overall I would suggest people take Tourradar and Intrepid if they don't mind doing some of the labor involved.Show more

It’s great to know that Nikolai did a great job, and you had a great time exploring Scandinavia, but we are sorry to learn the accommodation wasn’t satisfactory, given you are used to better hotels. Intrepid trips have different trip styles, and the one chosen was an original style trip which offers simple tourist class hotels, so perhaps our Comfort or Premium style trips might be better suited to your needs. You mention carrying your luggage was burdensome. Given the nature of our trips, they do not include porterage, but we do advise travellers to pack light as they will be carrying their own bag. Nevertheless, we do appreciate this can be inconvenient if you are used to this being included. Thank you again for taking the time to post your review.
