  1. Day 1

    Istanbul Arrival

    You'll arrive at Istanbul airport and get picked up with a Travel Talk sign for your ride to the hotel. After settling in, there's an informal group meeting at hotel reception in the evening, and if you're interested, you can join your travel mates for optional dinner at a local restaurant.

  2. Day 2

    Istanbul to Pamukkale

    Spend today on the coach traveling through Turkish scenery, passing small towns and villages along the way. You'll roll into Pamukkale by evening and stay overnight there.

  3. Day 3

    Pamukkale

    Start with Pamukkale, the 'cotton castle', which has hot springs and white travertine terraces from mineral deposits over time. The ancient city of Hierapolis sits on top, and you can see the pools where people have bathed for thousands of years. Later you'll head to Selçuk, a seaside town, for your overnight stay.

  4. Day 4

    Ephesus - Pergamum - Ayvalik

    Morning takes you to Ephesus, a well-preserved ancient city with the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. After that, you'll check out the ruins of the Asklepion at Pergamum, an ancient healing center. By afternoon you're in Ayvalik, a seaside town where you have free time to relax and wander around.

    Ayvalik to Troy to Gallipoli

    Head out to Troy, the ancient city known from Greek mythology and famous from movies. You'll walk through the archaeological site and see the famous wooden horse replica. In the evening, you'll travel to Gallipoli's shores and sleep at the ceremony space so you're positioned well for the Dawn Service happening tomorrow morning.

  6. Day 6

    Gallipoli Dawn Service and Ceremonies

    You'll wake before sunrise to see the light break over the battlefield and pay respects to the soldiers who died there. Throughout the day you attend national ceremonies and services at Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair. By afternoon you'll head to Canakkale for the night.

  7. Day 7

    Gallipoli Peninsula to Istanbul

    Spend the morning exploring the Gallipoli peninsula in quiet reflection, taking in sites like Kabatepe War Museum, Lone Pine, Chunuk Bair, Johnston's Jolly, North Beach, Ari Burnu, Hell Spit, Brighton Beach, Shrapnel Valley, Artillery Road, and the Turkish Memorial. This deep dive lets you really think about the history and significance of the region. In the afternoon you'll drive back to Istanbul where your trip started.

You'll see the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome, then move on to Topkapi Palace where you can walk through the former Ottoman sultan's residence. From there, Hagia Sophia is next on the list. After exploring these major sites, you'll board a Bosphorus cruise in the afternoon to see the waterfront from the water. The whole day wraps up by 4:30pm.
