I am interested in joining a group tour in Turkey that starts and ends in Istanbul, with the tour concluding in Istanbul on the evening of 15 April. I am looking for a 7–8 day itinerary and am flexible with the start date, as long as I return to Istanbul by the night of the 15th. I am happy to share a room and would prefer a budget-friendly option, while still having a well-organised and enjoyable experience.

I recommend the Highlights of Turkey tour, as it is an 8-day itinerary that fits your travel requirements. The following departure date would be the most suitable option for you: 5 April 2026 – 12 April 2026

Will the tour be cancelled if there are not at least 10 participants?

All of our tours are guaranteed departures, we will only cancel should there be a natural disaster or unrest in the country that affects the tour directly.

Are we able to travel to Cappadocia for 2 nights, then fly to Istanbul. This would be at the end of the trip.

We are unable to customize or amend the itinerary. Our trips are sold as a pre set package. If you would like to visit Cappadocia, you can do so on your own before or after this trip, or you can book a different trip that includes it.

Is the tour guaranteed at this time if you still have a lot of spaces available?

All of our tours are guaranteed departures and only require one traveler per departure to proceed.

Can you let me know if anyone else has booked for this date yet, 28-July? My preference is to book into a tour where others are already booked so please let me know if there is a more suitable date?

What's your refund policy?

Here our the terms and conditions for cancelling and refunds: Up to 30th day prior to departure: Your 20% non-refundable deposit is saved on your file as Lifetime Deposit towards a future tour with G Adventures. From 29th day to 3rd day prior to departure: 70% of travel fare becomes non-refundable: 50% cancellation fee + 20% Lifetime deposit. From 2nd day prior to departure up to departure day or in case of no show : 95% of travel fare becomes non-refundable: 75% cancellation fee + 20% Lifetime Deposit. Your Lifetime Deposit stays on file for you to use as a new deposit for a future G Adventures tour when booked through TourRadar.

The March 16 departure has 1 spot available. You will have 2 choices as a solo traveller: 1. book the last spot for the same price as per website and room with another solo traveller of the same gender (twin share). 2. book "my own room" option to have your own room for extra cost, however, please note that it's sold out for this departure. If you do not want to share the room, we can request the my own room option for you and if it's not confirmed, we can refund the deposit. My Own Room is an additional 239.00 AUD to the tour price.

What should I bring for the tours?

We recommend bringing sunscreen, a water bottle, and modest clothing for visiting religious sites.

Is travel insurance mandatory for this tour?

Yes, it is mandatory to have Emergency Medical Travel Insurance that covers medical expenses, evacuation, and repatriation.

Our CEO, Huseyin, is knowledgeable, attentive, and caring. His knowledge of history, Turkey, and the world is top-notch. He’s also well-read—when I mentioned Orhan Pamuk’s novel My Name Is Red, he was familiar with it and even recommended more Turkish literature. Overall, it’s a fantastic tour with the perfect blend of history and nature.Show more

Amazing places to see that exceeded my expectations. Türkiye is a country full of history. The tour was well organised with a knowledgeable guide in Elif and an excellent driver in Jalad (?). The focus on supporting local suppliers of accommodation is great but resulted in staying in mostly fairly run down hotels. There is a lot of walking over loose and uneven surfaces to access some truly spectacular sights but it was sometimes very challenging in the sky high summer temperatures.   There may be some confusion over the tour dates for this trip. The first two departures in April are; 05 - 12 April, 10 - 17 April. You would arrive back into Istanbul on the afternoon of the penultimate day of whichever departure you choose (so 11th and 16th). If you chose the second tour you would miss the morning seminar that you plan to attend so you would need to do the first option and then spend 4 extra days in Istanbul to attend the 16th seminar.
